Friends of St Michael's News
(aka The PTA!)
This year we're aiming to raise money towards a new play pod and a new all-weather covered play area. Do you think you can help?
We're looking for some fresh faces to join the committee - have you got a few hours a month you could spare to help us raise additional funds? If so, come along and speak to us.
I would like to take this opportunity to say a massive thanks to all the volunteers and Alan, our wonderful caretaker, who helped keep the pool running smoothly over the summer holidays. We're also thrilled that Beki Singer has taken over as Pool Manager and Treasurer. And not forgetting all of you - our loyal customers for your patience whilst we found our feet!
If you haven't already registered to hire the pool - visit the new website and register your details - don't forget to review and agree to the T&C's email to complete the process! https://www.stmichaelspool.org/ Don't forget to share with friends and family

Otter Class have been learning classroom
instructions in French. Sydney is
demonstrating levez vous (stand up) whilst
Luca is showing regardez (looking).
It was fantastic to see all the
children and parents enjoying our
Wake and Shake session on the
playground. The children
participate in Wake and Shake
every Tuesday and Thursday.
Hopefully parents will join us
again soon.
If your child, boy or girl, has
shoulder length or longer hair, they
need to keep it tied up at all times.
They also need to bring a
swimming hat to their swimming
lessons please. To get the best
body position in the pool, which will
aid their swimming, goggles would
be advantageous as well. Thank
you.

St Michael's footballers headed to Dunster School on 21st September for the weekly 4
a-side football competition. Despite it being a new experience for a number of the
players they were unphased as they took to the indoor pitch. The more experienced
players supported their new team mates and recorded the following results;
0-0 vs Porlock
1-1 vs Timberscombe (David scored)
0-1 loss vs Dunster
1-0 win vs Dunster Red (George scored).
Well done boys.
Fielding three new players, our footballers took to the pitch for four matches at Dunster
school on 28th September. The new players gained valuable experience and grew in
confidence.
Results;
vs Dunster 2-2 (David 1 & Cam 1)
vs Timberscombe won 3-0 (David 3)
vs Porlock 2-2 (David 1 & Rory 1)
vs Timberscombe 1-1 (Millie 1).
Otter Class and Red Deer Class have enjoyed running the
Daily Mile with their parents and siblings. Everyone walked
or jogged for 15 minutes prior to school starting. Every half
term each class will have the opportunity to invite their
parents in.
On Friday 5 October, St Michael’s
football team travelled to Dunster
First School to play four games.
They lost two, drew one and won
one.
The victory came with a single goal
with Casey scoring on his Friday
football debut. The team were
unlucky not to score again through
Alex who hit the post.
Team: Millie, Alex, Casey and
Fynn
