Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us.

PRO-LIFE CORNER

Brothers and sisters: If then you were raised with Christ, seek what is above,

where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Think of what is above, not of what is on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ your life appears,

then you too will appear with him in glory.

Col 3:1-4

Jesus, Mary and Joseph, pray for us.

O Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR BABYSITTING MINISTRY CO-OP Babysitting Ministry Co-Op for the 10 A.M. Sunday Mass is an incredibly valuable ministry/service to parishioners with young children. Babysitting is available for children ages 1-4 in the lyceum (313 Duke St.) during Mass, and is managed by St. Mary's parishioners/parents who have been VIRTUS trained. It gives parents the peace of mind that their children are being looked after in a safe, loving environment while they attend Mass across the street at the Church.

We are looking for parents to keep this valuable ministry going for the parents in St. Mary's who need this service. If you are interested in taking over this Ministry and/or joining this co-op (you volunteer several Sundays per year to babysit), please contact Jean Marie O'Neil at 609.6351696. This ministry has been around for years and is a great way to become even more involved in the parish and to help other moms and dads.

Christians, to the Paschal Victim offer your thankful praises! A Lamb the sheep redeems; Christ, who only is sinless, reconciles sinners to the Father. Death and life have contended in that combat stupendous: The Prince of life, who died, reigns immortal. Speak, Mary, declaring what

you saw, wayfaring. “The tomb of Christ, who is living, the glory of Jesus’ resurrection; bright angels attesting, the shroud and napkin resting.

Yes, Christ my hope is arisen; to Galilee he goes before you.” Christ indeed from death is risen, our new life obtaining. Have mercy, victor King, ever reigning! Amen. Alleluia!

ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT We are so fortunate here at St. Mary's to have the opportunity each week to pray before the Blessed Sacrament. When we set aside time for Jesus we will find that we not only have the obvious benefits from this "spiritual communion" with Him, but we will become increasingly aware of His presence in the busier moments of our lives, when there is so much to preoccupy us. When we spend this time alone with Jesus, our love for Him will become more intimate, our love for each other more compassionate, and this communion with Him will carry over into life's most demanding periods. Visiting Our Lord in Adoration is also the perfect time to show a sense of gratitude for all He has blessed us with. He is waiting for us to visit! Think of spending just one hour a week with Our Lord. Sign-up sheet s for a new session running from May through June will be in the back of the church. Adoration is on Thursday from 12:30 to 7:30 P.M. concluding with a Holy Hour. For more information, please call Mary Stier at 703.768.7167 or email at [email protected].
