Baptism Preparation Class Our next Baptism Class will be held on Saturday, January 16th, in the parish office at 9:30 AM. Please call Sr. Agnes (337-4314) with questions.

Free Lunch St. Mary’s opportunity to serve Free Lunch (at 1105 Gilbert Court) is this coming Friday, January 15th. Please use the sign-up sheet in the back of the church to contribute. Donations may be brought to the parish hall on Thursday evening, from 7-8:30 PM. Volunteers are also needed to serve the meal!

Year End Contribution Statements Parishioners who a lump sum gift to St. Mary’s in the amount of $250 or more will receive a statement in the mail automatically in the coming weeks. All others will be mailed upon request. Statements will be available after January 15th, 2016.

Inquiry Sessions Sessions for those wishing to join our Catholic faith or for Catholic adults who not been confirmed is invited to attend an Inquiry Session. These sessions will take place in St. Mary’s Parish Hall. Each one is the same, so you only need to attend once.

REMINDER First Communion class for second graders and their parents will be on Sunday, January 24th at 12:45 PM in the parish hall.

Holy Hour for Life In commemoration of the lives lost since the Roe v. Wade decision, St. Mary’s will have a Holy Hour for Life on Friday, January 22nd, at 6:00 PM in the church.

There is no adult supervision in the parish hall during Mass. Please keep this in mind when

children go downstairs to use the restrooms.

Fathers of St. Joseph Fathers of St. Joseph meets each 2nd and 4th Wednesday at 5:45 AM at St. Mary’s Church in Iowa City. Please note the change in location. Our next meeting is Wednesday, January 13th. The meeting will go until 6:55 AM, at which time you may go to Mass at 7 AM.

St. Ambrose Scholarship

St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa, is expanding Catholic scholarships, which may be awarded to students who are active members of parishes, who graduate from a Catholic high school and/or who intend to be involved in campus ministry during their time at St. Ambrose.
