From Seminarian Steve Horton Hello! As I’m finishing up my first week here at St. Mary’s, I want to thank you all so much for your kind welcome. Many of you have reached out in various ways to greet me, and I couldn’t be any more grateful. As a way of getting to know you better, I wanted to share with you more about myself, my journey to the faith, and discernment of seminary. I come from a bit of a mixed faith background. Growing up in Berne, it's fairly common for young people to go between the various youth groups. In total, I’ve actively participated in ten different denominations, so I don’t have a sin-gle denomination I can reference when asked about my past. I attended my first Mass in 2014 at Notre Dame’s Basilica, and was immediately inter-ested in Catholicism. Then, only a month later, I was hired as the music teacher for Mishawaka Catholic. After going through RCIA twice, I came into the church on Easter Vigil 2017. It was during this time when I heard Mary call me to pursue priesthood while praying the rosary. Shortly after Confirmation, Fr. Jacob Meyer helped with my discernment by allowing me to live at and work for St. Monica over the next two years. Now that I have completed my first year, I couldn’t be more excited to be with you all this summer! Know that I’m praying for you all and can’t wait to learn more about you.

Returns Monday, June 15 The current Mass schedule for weekdays and Sundays will re-

main in effect through next Sunday, June 14th. Unless there are major changes to the Indiana Stage 4 implementation,

Mass schedules will return to normal beginning Monday, June 15th, except for no Masses on Wednesdays at 7:00 a.m. or

Fridays at Woodcrest until further notice.
