HOW CAN WE HELP YOU?

INTRODUCTION TO EVANGELIZATION The Mission is ME!

We believe that faith shared is faith strengthened! The challenges of our culture point out that NOW is an evangelizing moment; NOW is the time for Catholic Christians to proclaim the Lord Jesus with renewed conviction and fervor! Pope Francis calls all of us to be “Missionary Disciples”. The task of Evangelization belongs to everyone! So how can this be accomplished? All are invited to a special parish presentation on Thursday, April 26 at 7PM in the Chapel by Very Rev. David G. Caron, OP, Archdiocesan Office of Evangelization.

In gratitude for God’s gifts we gratefully appreciate: Envelopes (3/18) $ 4625.00 Loose Collection $ 1886.82 Total $ 6511.82

Thank you for your generosity!

EASTER FLOWER COLLECTION There is a special envelope in your box set of envelopes for Easter Flower Donations. The Altar Society is asking that you consider giving a contribution in order to help defray the added expenses

that are incurred for the flowers and decorations of Holy Week and Easter Sunday.

The "Marriage: Unique for a Reason" website is part of the Bishops' ongoing efforts to promote and defend marriage as the union of one man and one woman. It offers many educational resources for Catholics and others who want to better understand and articulate the Church's teaching on marriage. The website currently features five video resources: Made for Each Other, Made for Life, Made for Freedom, Made for the Common Good, and El Matrimonio: Hecho para el amor y vida (in Spanish with English subtitles), as well as FAQs about marriage, a library of Church teaching, and a regularly updated blog.

EVANGELIZATION

CELEBRATING CATHOLIC FAMILIES Living the Word

Easter Sunday of the Lord’s Resurrection Easter has come and our penitential time of Lent is over. Today at Mass we will sing “Alleluia” for the first time since Lent began

and we will see fresh flowers and colors of white and gold. I wonder why we use these colors and fresh flowers for Easter Time. Let’s pay attention to these changes during Mass.

CHILDREN’S CORNER

APRIL: Month of EASTER. Prayer Center Theme is: During this Easter Season please help me to grow in your love by... Put written intentions in prayer pig; they will be offered up at all Masses every Sunday.

TREASURES FROM OUR TRADITION The Paschal Mystery is the key to our Christian faith: the dying and rising of Jesus that is the pattern of our life. In their first steps on the road of faith, the catechumens feel the cross of glory traced over their eyes, on their lips, across their shoulders, on their ears, over their heart, and on their feet. The mystery is that even death gives way to life for those who are held in the embrace of Jesus. Today, many new Christians arise from the waters of the font. Yet the font is not the destination of their journey. The goal is Pentecost, fifty days from now, and a lifetime of praise to the Father, in Christ, in the embrace of the Holy Spirit, for the sake of the world. “Neophyte,” our ancient word for newly-baptized people, means “newly-planted” in Greek. If someone in your parish has just been baptized, welcome them today. The smiles on their faces and the light in the eyes is a foretaste of heaven. —Rev. James Field, Copyright © J. S. Paluch Co.
