FOCUS ON TODAY’S THEME:Our heavenly Father lovingly watches over us and pro-vides for what we most truly need.Jesus taught throughout his life and ministry that God the Father watches over us and provides for what we most need. We must try to trust and rely upon God a lit-tle more each day and ask him for the deepest desires of our heart. For whoever seeks, finds; and whoever knocks has the door opened.

TODAY’S LITURGY OF THE WORD:In the first reading, Abraham implores God’s mercy in saving innocent inhabitants of Sodom and Gomorrah. The second reading reminds us that through baptism, we were given new life in Christ and the promise of sal-vation. The Gospel recounts the disciples asking Jesus to teach them to pray. He does so with the words of the Our Father
