Nathan Rollins, Dyson Heschke, Reece Price, Nathan Shannon-Gross, and
Jackson Mahoney
Congratulations to Our Students of the Third Quarter! Miss Karla Opperman, who is shaking things up in your Kindergarten
room? “Jackson Mahoney demonstrates how to work hard. He shows his curi-
osity when something new arises. Jackson is a great leader to have in the class-
room. He has a love for reading! Jack tries to read every word he sees! He al-
ways has a smile on his face, which is very contagious to all around him. He is a
joy to have in class.” Go, Jackson, Go!
Nathan is a very respectful student, both of teachers and his peers. He is al-
ways willing to lend a helping hand either by helping another student read or
taking care of cleaning up the classroom. It is easy to see why teacher, Miss
Holly Len!, chose Nathan Rollins.
Dyson has come a long way this year, says Mr. Justin Hansen of Dyson
Heschke. His handwriting has greatly improved and he participates in class
regularly. Dyson is very inquisitive and asks good questions. Keep it up!
We have another Nathan in the group! Miss Judy Thumann choose Na-
than Shannon-Gross and here is why...Nathan comes to class with a smile on
his face, eager to learn. He has excellent class participation and his hand shoots
up to answer questions. Nathan strives to do well on all his assignments and
always pays a)ention in class. Way cool, Nathan!
Reece Price likes to make people happy. He is comfortable talking with li)le
children and adults alike. He is a very good reader, and is a great oral reader.
Reece does a good job of ge)ing his work done on time, and he has increased his
grade point average this year to make the honor roll. Thank you, Principal
Benjamin Bain. Sounds like Reece is doing a good job!
These youngsters were taken to lunch by Mr. Bain.

May Will Be Buzz-zing As you can see by our Upcom-
ing Events calendar, May is a
busy, busy month. Confirma-
tion, examination, rehearsals,
the school play, field trip, sport-
ing days, all while keeping up
on our studies. The month will
be packed with fun and is sure
to go fast! Please keep the busy-
ness of the month in mind!
Your children will need plenty
of sleep and good nutrition to
help them be at their best. A
word or two of encouragement
and understanding will go a
long way.

KOINÉ, an indie Christian rock group, gave a memorable performance, called Footsteps to the Cross, here at St. John’s on March 13th. Here is a special note from KOINÉ:
Dear members of St. John’s, Many, many thanks for the opportunity to serve you with God’s gift of music. Each time we play our faith is renewed, not only by the great hymns of our church, but also by the singing congregations that cherish them. Truly God’s saving message has power, both spoken and sung.
