Visiting Missionary We welcome Fr. Joseph Srambickal V.C., a
Vincentian Missionary Priest from India, to our
parish this weekend to participate in our Annual
Missionary Cooperation Plan. He will share his
missionary experience at all the Masses this
weekend and will make an appeal on behalf of the
Vincentian Missions. The Vincentian Missionaries
need our help to carry out their many missionary,
educational and charitable activities in their
missions. They also request our special financial
support for the training of young men studying for
priesthood. There will be special collection today
to help the Missionary work of the Vincentian
Missionaries. We urge you to be very generous in
your mission offering since these Missionaries
need our help.
If you did not have an opportunity to make an
offering today or would like to make an additional
offering, you may make your offering through the
general parish collection next weekend in a
specially marked envelope. Thank you very much
for your prayers and generous financial support .
The Vincentian Missionaries keep you and our
parish in their prayers and Masses.

Dear Friends,
My apologies for complicating the collection issue this week. Please
know that the envelope for the Retired Priests can be submitted at your
convenience and will be credited accordingly.
Father Joseph is our guest priest this week, here to remind us of the
breadth and universality of the church throughout the world, but especially in
areas of great need. Please afford Father a warm welcome.
Please help us in our efforts to update the list of Homebound and
Residents of Nursing Homes. This will allow me and other ministers to plan
visits on a regular basis. If a member of your family or a friend is
homebound or in a local nursing home, please contact Diane Cecchi -
(716) - 373-1576 - to let her know.
As I mentioned last week, I believe our parish would greatly benefit
from a sitting Parish Council. The Council’s role is to provide advise to the
pastor and ensure the parish is fulfilling its mission of living out the Gospel
message. An effective council consists of a representative sample of our
parish, around 12 people (think Apostles) and also include the parish
Trustees ex officio. The council would meet regularly; an average of seven
times per year, or when an important decision is to be made. If you have an
interest in building up our parish and would like to represent the community,
please let me know.
The RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) program will be
offered starting this Fall for anyone who is interested in becoming Catholic
or has not received the Sacrament of Confirmation. Please call the office to
register.
The Bible Study program that I want to offer is video-based and will
walk you through the different books of the Bible. You will meet on a
weekly basis for about one and a half hours and have a chance to reflect and
marvel at how God has designed His great plan for our salvation. If you have
an interest in being involved in these or have suggestions, please let me
know. God’s blessings, Fr. Pat
