St. John River Summit Field trip

9:00 am A guided field trip around the City of Saint John to learn and see what has been done

to 11:30 am over the past decade to encourage a healthier water environment. Numerous sites will

be visited as part of this trip and attendees will participate in a stream side planting

project as part of an on-going restoration effort.

Tour departs from the Barbour’s General Store at 10 Market Square. Parking is available

nearby. Be sure to dress for the weather and to have appropriate footwear, ie. no

open-toed footwear. A nutrition break will be provided

St. John River Summit Kayak trip

1:00 pm Participate in a guided kayak tour of Saint John Harbour and the surrounding waters.

to 3:30 pm

See, experience and learn about this unique ecosystem and the working harbour, and

what is being done to ensure its health, now and into the future. GoFundy Events will

provide all safety gear, double kayaks, paddles, etc. and certified guides. There will be a

stop along the way for a nutrition break.

This exciting tour will depart from Long Wharf, below Smythe Street on the Harbour

Excursion éducative du Sommet pour le fleuve Saint-Jean

9h00 à 11h30 Une excursion éducative guidée autour de la ville de Saint John pour observer et

apprendre ce qui a été accompli durant la dernière décennie pour encourager un

environnement aquatique sain. Plusieurs sites seront visités dans le cadre de cette

excursion et les participants vont prendre part à un projet de revégétalisation des

berges dans le cadre d'un effort de restauration en cours.

La tournée part du Barbour’s General Store, au 10 Market Square. Du stationnement

sera disponible tout près. Assurez-vous de porter des vêtements appropriés selon la

météo, de même pour les chaussures, c-à-d., pas de chaussures ouvertes. Une pause

santé sera fournie.

Excursion en kayak du Sommet pour le fleuve Saint-Jean

13h00 à 15h30 Participez à une excursion guidée en kayak du havre de Saint John et sur les eaux

environnantes.

Observez, faites l'expérience et apprenez en plus à propos de cet écosystème unique et

du port actif, et à propos de ce qui se fait pour en assurer la santé, maintenant et pour

l'avenir. GoFundy Events va fournir tout l'équipement de sécurité, les kayaks doubles,

les rames, etc., ainsi que les guides certifiés. Il y aura un arrêt le long du parcours pour

une pause-santé.

Cette excursion enrichissante va partir de Long Wharf, en dessous de la rue Smythe

Street, sur le Havre
