RCIA This Fall
Do you know someone who is interested in becoming a member of the Catholic faith? This person could be a relative, spouse, son, daughter, friend, neighbor or co-worker. Are YOU interested in the Catholic faith? RCIA is the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults. RCIA gives instruction to those wishing to be baptized, and those who, for whatever reason, have never practiced their baptismal faith as Catholics. Please phone the rectory office at (573) 438-4686. Classes will begin this fall and continue until Easter. This year the Holy Saturday Easter Vigil will be on April 12, 2020

Coalition for Life Sidewalk Vigil St. James Parish is adopting the sidewalk vigil for Coalition for Life on Oct 6, 2019 from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. We need two volun-teers per hour, in front of Planned Parenthood. This is our 4th year to participate. There is a sign up sheet on the bulletin board in the vestibule. Sign up sheet needs to be turned in by Sept 26th, so wont you please consider a 2 hr. shift to save a life and sign up now. Thank you for your loyal support to

Any teens 8th-12th grade, interested in attending the March for Life please contact AshLee DeMarinis at (636)633-1534 or Kim Coleman (314) 808-2207. The March for Life will be January 22nd-26th in Wash-ington D.C. Fundraising is available to cover all cost of the trip. Teens attending the March for Life will be selling SOCK RELIGIOUS socks to cover the cost of the trip. Be looking for us after mass in the coming weeks.
Open My Eyes, Lord St. Joachim/St. Joseph Parish Mission
Father Matthew Bonk, Redemptorist, will be hold an extraordinary preaching event September 22-25 at 6:30 p.m. each evening at St. Joachim Parish, Old Mines. The “Open My Eyes, Lord,” service of song, preaching ,and worship will last no longer than 1 hr. to 1 hr. 15 minutes. Refreshments and fellowship will follow. All are welcome. Childcare and Transportation will be available. If either is needed, please call 573-438-6181. Invite a neighbor or friend. People who became active in the faith again did so through their relationship with a friend or neighbor.
