THEME

We have big ideas about what we want to do. Quite often, our own ego will lead us away from union with our God and his kingdom. We seek a more reliable vision as we tune in to God’s vision.

Thank You Letter to Archbishop

St. Isaac Jogues Parish 50 W. Walker Road Wayne, PA 19087

September 23, 2019

Archbishop Charles J. Chaput Office of Archbishop Your Excellency, On behalf of all of the parishioners of St. Isaac Jogues and myself, I am grateful to you for your gift of the marble altar from the former Cardinal residence’s chapel. This altar not only has so much history attached to it but ,also, the altar itself adds so much to our sanctuary and church. This gift arrives providentially during our year leading up to the parish’s 50TH anniversary in June of 2020. It will serve as a reminder of this special milestone and what the focus of a parish should be which is the Eucharist. Be assured of our ongoing gratitude and prayers as we all approach the years ahead. Sincerely Yours in Christ, Rev. Stephen A. Moerman Pastor

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION

There will be an information meeting for parents of children not registered in CCD, who want to receive First Penance, First Holy Communion or Confirmation this year at St. Isaac Jogues. The meeting will be Monday, October 7th, at 7PM in Rooms 7&8. Any questions call Mr. Valenti at the Religious Education Office.

WHAT DRAWS PEOPLE INTO THE CATHOLIC FAITH? While there are many different circumstances that lead a person in the direction of Catholicism, the simple answer is, “Because God has called them.” Most often, God calls to us through the people closest to us, through our families and friends. Most who have entered the Church have been influenced by a Catholic spouse, fiancé, or close friend. For many of these people, a desire to raise their children in the knowledge of God spurred them to action. What is this if not the action of the Holy Spirit? If you, or someone you know, is interested in learning more about Catholic Faith and Worship contact Louis Valenti at 610-687-2481 or email [email protected].
