FORMED.org Formed.org’s pick of the week is Pure Fatherhood. Fathers are the link between heaven and earth and are intended to be an image of our Heavenly Father. Drawing on the examples of St. Joseph, this 41 minute audio shows us how to become a father on earth like our Father in heaven. Happy Fathers’ Day!! Our year of Formed is set to expire on July 7, 2018. If you haven’t looked at it yet—now is the me! Do you want to con nue it? Please let us know!
Women’s Society
The Women’s Society is in need of new or slightly used items for the Christmas Bazaar Surprise Package. It is never to early! Workshop dates are July 10, July 31, August 14 and August 28 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Mark your calendar and plan to help!
BEQUESTS I give, devise, and bequeath the sum of $_____ to the Archdio-cese of Portland in Oregon for the sole benefit of St. Frederic Catholic Church located at 175th S. 13th, St. Helens, Oregon to be used under the direc on of the priest at the me of my death.
MASS INTENTIONS ($10.00) The Church considers the Mass the greatest possible prayer of intercession because it is the perfect offering of Christ to the Father by making present the Paschal Mystery of His death and resurrec on. It is a longstanding tradi on in the Church that a Priest may be requested to offer a Mass for a specific inten on, even when one cannot be physically present at the Mass. The faithful make a free will offering, called a s pend, to a priest or Religious Community in order to apply the Mass to a specific inten on. By making this offering, the faithful, by making their own offering, associate themselves more in mately with Christ who offers Himself in the Sacred Host, and thereby obtain more abundant fruits (refer to Pope Paul VI's le er "Firma in Tradi one" (Firm in Tradi on) of June 13, 1974).
