Liturgy of the Eucharist Nicene Creed

I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.

I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages.` God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father; through him all things were made. (all bow up to and including the words “became man”)

For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven, and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate, he suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets. I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church. I confess one baptism for the forgiveness of sins and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen.

Communion Song

Lord Jesus Christ, you are the bread of life broken to reach and heal the wounds of human pain Where we divide your people, you are waiting there on bended knee to wash our feet with endless care Lord Jesus Christ, you are the wine of peace poured into hearts once broken and where dryness sleeps Where we are tired and weary, you are waiting there to be the way which beckons us beyond despair Lord Jesus Christ, you call us to your feast at which the rich and powerful have become the least Where we survive on others in our human greed, you walk among us begging for your every need. © 1990 Bernadette Farrell. Song of Sending

Fragrance Prayer

Dear Jesus, help me to spread your fragrance ev’rywhere that I go. Dear Jesus, flood my soul with your spirit and your love. Penetrate and possess my being so utterly that all my life may only be a radiance of you. Shine through me and be so in me that ev’ry soul I come in contact with may feel your presence in my soul. Let them look up and see no longer me but only you, my Jesus. Stay with me and then I shall begin to Shine as you shine so to shine as a light to all. Music © 2000, Tom Booth.
