St. Anthony’s Mardi Gras Party & Talent Show
Come to St. Anthony’s this Tuesday, February 25, beginning at 7:00 PM, for an evening of fun at the Mardi Gras party and talent show! Our Knights of Columbus will be serving up delicious pancakes with many decadent toppings and you won’t want to miss all of the talent!
GOD’S GIFT APPEAL This weekend is Commitment Weekend for the 2020 God’s Gift Appeal, and our parish goal is $94,102. Please complete your pledge card and return it in the offeratory basket. If you do not have a card, please find one located at the table in St. Francis Gathering Place. Let’s all participate and support our diocesan church! PARISH MISSION WITH ROXANE SALONEN ON MARCH 2 & 3 Make plans to attend our Parish Mission on Monday, March 2 and Tuesday, March 3, from 7:00-8:00 PM each night. This year’s Parish
Mission will feature Roxane Salonen. She is well-known as a faith-writer for the Forum, as well as for her Sidewalk Stories column in the Diocese of Fargo’s New Earth publication. She will speak about surrendering to Divine Grace and how she has learned to do that while spending time praying on the sidewalk in front of the abortion clinic. Mark your calendar and make plans to attend both nights of this inspiring talk! *In preparation for this year’s Parish Mission, we invite you to pray the “I Surrender” Novena. If we start this weekend, we will finish right before the Mission begins. Copies are available at the ends of the pews this
weekend, or online at https://www.theabbotscircle.com/novena-of-surrender-to-jesus/ LENTEN PRAYER STUDY Have you ever said “God doesn’t talk to me during prayer?” Is your prayer filled with requests or is it a conversation with God? Commit time this Lent learning how to pray. St. Anthony’s will be offering a 6 week study, “Lectio: Prayer” that teaches 5 steps of the Lectio Divina form of prayer. Since prayer is so important in our walk with God, classes will be offered on Sunday mornings after the 7:30 AM and 9:00 AM Masses and Thursdays at 11:30 AM and 7:00 PM. We will also be offering it through Facebook (join the group St. Anthony’s Lectio: Prayer Lenten Prayer Study). Sign up in St. Francis Gathering Space for whichever time best suits you. Make this the Year of Prayer in your life! “Come, Holy Spirt!” LENTEN FISH DINNER Our St. Anthony’s Knights of Columbus members will again be serving up a delicious fish dinner each Friday during Lent, from 5:00-6:30 PM. On the menu is baked Pollock, deep fried Pollock, French fries, baked potatoes, macaroni and cheese, vegetables and dessert. The cost is just $10 for ages 13 and up, $6 for children 6-12 and children 5 and under are free. All are welcome! STATIONS OF THE CROSS Following the fish fry on Fridays during Lent, join us in the church for Stations of the Cross. We will begin at 6:30 PM. Let us each strive to make this the best Lent ever! KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS SOCIAL EVENING St. Anthony’s Knights of Columbus invite all members and any interested men 18 years and older along with their families to a social evening on Thursday, March 5, from 6:00-9:00 PM, in the St. Anthony’s Social Hall. Bring your favorite dish to share as we recap the year and build camaraderie. We hope you can come!
