Spotlight on Stewardship Feb. 12, 2017 Stewardship Reflection “For I tell you, unless your righteousness exceeds that of

the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the

kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 5:20

The scribes and Pharisees lived according to the letter of

the law and they used this to elevate themselves above

the other people. Jesus is clear – it’s the love that you

have in your heart that will get you to heaven. Simply

following Church rules out of obligation, not love, does

not put you on the path to heaven.

Ministry Spotlight Linens of the Sacred Heart

Have you ever wondered what happens behind the

scenes to make certain everything is in place for

Mass? It’s a result of the work and dedication of our

parishioners that serve in our various ministries,

especially Linens of the Sacred Heart. This ministry

provides respectful handling and cleaning of the Mass

linens. If you are willing to give of your time in reverence

and commitment to the handling and cleaning of these

linens that have come into contact with the body and

blood of Christ, this is the ministry for you. For more info,

call Jennifer Harding at 706-405-6801.

St. Anne Community Outreach Outreach will be open before & after all Masses

next weekend—Feb. 18 & 19—to accept donations. You

may also drop off donations during the Center’s normal

operating hours: Mon.-Thurs., 9 a.m. to Noon. February’s

parish Item of the Month for Outreach is shampoo.

Thank you, in advance, for your generosity!

Student Spotlight

“I love the fact that I have the freedom

to express my religion at St. Anne-

Pacelli. I have the ability to pray daily at

the beginning and end of the school

day, before tests and even when

someone in my family is not doing so

well....St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School

has helped me grow in faith, knowledge

and service. The school has formed me

into the person I am today.”
