Book Festival Fringe (26-29 August) Welcome to our second Book Festival Fringe. This year our theme is Life and Faith in Scotland. The presenters will talk about their work in an informal setting, and will then be free to answer questions from the audience. The sessions will be followed by book-signing and refreshments. We hope you enjoy this experience. Ian Gilmour, Minister

Art Exhibition (throughout August) Edinburgh based artist Kate Livingstone presents her second exhibition

at St Andrew’s and St George’s West. The Uneasiness of Graceful

Movement is a collection of new paintings exploring the concept of

drapery and fold. Drawing on the rich tradition of drapery painting in

classical art and religious iconography Livingstone creates elegant,

flowing forms which refer simultaneously to the man-made and the

organic. Sumptuous folds, precious materials and dense patterning

make these works a feast for the eyes and draw a connection between

contemporary art and spirituality. www.katelivingstone.com
