Music Programme (5-25 August) Welcome to our music programme for 2013. We’re delighted to be back in George Street and we hope you enjoy our updated facilities and refurbished building. Once again this year we have a wide range of different genres of music: world music, jazz, swing and Big Band, Music Theatre, instrumental and song recitals. You’ll recognise many of our regulars, but we also have some new home-grown and international talent to delight you. We hope you enjoy your Festival with us.

Book Festival Fringe (26-29 August) Welcome to our second Book Festival Fringe. This year our theme is Life and Faith in Scotland. The presenters will talk about their work in an informal setting, and will then be free to answer questions from the audience. The sessions will be followed by book-signing and refreshments. Art Exhibition (throughout August) Edinburgh based artist Kate Livingstone presents her second exhibition

at St Andrew’s and St George’s West. The Uneasiness of Graceful

Movement is a collection of new paintings exploring the concept of

drapery and fold. Drawing on the rich tradition of drapery painting in

classical art and religious iconography Livingstone creates elegant,

flowing forms which refer simultaneously to the man-made and the

organic. Sumptuous folds, precious materials and dense patterning

make these works a feast for the eyes and draw a connection between

Undercroft Café During the Fringe Festival the Undercroft Café at St Andrew’s and St

George’s West will open from 10am until 4 pm. A great place to meet

before performances or relax after an event, the Undercroft offers a

light menu of tasty, fresh homemade produce at very reasonable

The Roseberry Trio 2.30-3.30pm £9 (£7 conc) North East Fife musicians Alasdair Hill, Kirsty Howe and Janice Gibson formed the The Roseberry Trio in 2012 to explore the delightful combination of oboe, horn and piano.

Their debut programme includes works by Blanc and Reinecke as well as an arrangement of Mozart's quintet for horn and strings.
