STEWARDSHIP Our Christian teaching insists that the goods of creation exist, first and foremost, to serve the needs of all human beings everywhere. They exist not just for some but for everyone. Creation is God’s free gift to us all. None of us earned it; none of us deserved it. All of creation issues forth from the boundless generosity of God. We are merely the stewards of created things, and we stand accountable to the Creator for our stewardship over his property. God expects us to use these things for the purpose for which he made it and gave it, namely, to serve the needs of all.

Join Cub Scouts!

Some boys avoid obstacles. Scouts overcome them.

The life lessons learned in Scouting form a foundation to embrace opportunity

and overcome obstacles in life. Scouting is one of the best relationship

building experiences between a parent and their son, as well as between the

Scouts themselves. This great journey called “Scouting” is waiting for you.

St. Ambrose - Overview

St. Ambrose Catholic Church (SACC) is the sponsor organization for both the

Cub Scout Pack (Pack 540) and the Boy Scout Troop (Troop 540). A boy

may become a member of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) at any time

during the year. Cub Scouts are boys currently in 1st - 5th grade and Boy

Scouts are ages 11-18. By joining during either the Spring or Fall seasons,

new Cub Scouts can grow at the same pace as established Scouts. Parents’

involvement in the Pack is essential for the success of their son as well as

the Unit. The Troop here at St. Ambrose was established in 1964 (53 years

ago) and the Cub Scout Pack became a Unit in 1976 (41 years ago).

Throughout all of these years of service, our Scouts have helped and

completed many projects for our parish, school, and surrounding community.

Many Eagle Scout projects have been completed on the St. Ambrose

property as well. We, the volunteer Scout leaders, are very proud of our

Scouts and we hope that you also value their service in representing our St.

Ambrose community. Please continue to pray for and support all who are

involved with the Scouting program here at St. Ambrose as well as around

the world.

TWENTY-SIXTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME

Domingo, 1 de Octubre, 2017

A esa

publicanos.

Prostitutas y publicanos no sólo eran profesiones

disyuntivas. Con la colaboración de Servicio Bíblico Latinoamericano
