Family Vacations and VocationsFamily Vacations and VocationsFamily Vacations and VocationsFamily Vacations and Vocations

Soon school will be out and families will make their way to their favorite summertime destinations. For some this will be their first year at a place they will return to again and again. No doubt some older cou-ples will arrive at a familiar place, alone at first, then greeting children and grandchildren as they arrive from points all over. And some families will face their first summer with certain family members missing. The Life and Family Ministry invite you to join in prayer and adoration. Pray for the safety and well-being of all during these summer months. Pray for the vocation of marriage, which makes family vaca-tions a possibility; and pray for the bishops of our Church as they listen to the Holy Spirit and discern what is proper in our ever changing world in prepa-ration for the Synod of Bishops On The Family in October. Come and adore Him, the One who made this all possible. Come, “keep watch.”“keep watch.”“keep watch.”“keep watch.”

140 people enjoyed the blessing of sharing faith and building friendship during our spring session of Faith and Fellowship. Here’s what some had to say about their experience:

“It was a really great God-led experience on just about every level.”

“A very special experience. Lots of shar-ing, wisdom and fun.”

“True spiritual journey of sharing, learn-ing and fellowship.”

Thank you to our group leaders for facilitating

these awesome groups.

It’s never too late to be a part of a Faith and Fellow-ship group sign-ups are on- going. Our goal is to double the joy by at least doubling the number of participants. Contact : Marie Lucey [email protected] or Steve Goldner [email protected].

We are in especial need of leaders for the Grade 8 group, then the Grade 6 group, and finally the Grade 7 group. The ability to offer this program as an alternative to school year formation rests in large measure on the willingness of young adults and adults to be actively involved as group leaders. Perhaps you and a friend could co-teach or split the week. Our parishioners have been very generous in volunteering behind the scenes (i.e., supply donations) but we truly need leaders to be actively engaged and participating dur-ing the Program’s week. Last year was the first year of offering summer pro-gramming and the positive feedback was amaz-ing. Please take a moment to ask yourself if you are willing and able to contribute your time and talent to our Program - you CAN and you DO make a dif-ference.
