the sorrow not come in the life ... , On behalf of SSR College of Pharmacy, I

would like to welcome all aspirants to understand holy profession Pharmacy: the

ultimate profession of humanity.

Healthcare sector is always being considered as the most respectable

profession amongst all in the world. Mostly, perceptions of people is that

Medical professionals only as major drivers of healthcare profession but I

would like to propose all aspirants that Pharmaceutical science is also equally

opportunistic in terms of career growth in healthcare sector.

Pharmacy profession is interdisciplinary profession, which deals in all

area of sciences makes complete unique understanding amongst professional

about understanding of drugs, medical device, herbal medicine, unit

operations of industry application, mechanism of action of drugs,

pharmacology and analysis of drugs and related compounds along with

management skills. I am sure after genuinely completion of Pharmacy course,

person feels satisfaction of applied knowledge.

Due to pharmaceutical sciences has too much diversity of subjects,

student has to prefer quality institution like SSR College of Pharmacy,

affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University (formerly known as Pune

University) which is India's 9th Ranked best University as per NIRF ranking of

2018 announced by MHRD, Gol. This gives great opportunity to students of

Dadra Nagar & Haveli and near by area to study in India's premier university

without going outside of their home location.

SSR College of Pharmacy, Saily, Silvassa is now 12th year from its

inception, which is one of major milestone for institute. The institute has very

qualified, young and very dynamic teaching staff with average of 9 years’

experience with 40% staff with Ph.D. Institute is running B.Pharm and

M.Pharn programme in three specializations viz. Pharmaceutics,

Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance and Pharmacology. All the programmes are

approved by AICTE, PCI and Savitribai Phule Pune University.

I am pleased to share that in the current year 10 students have qualified

GPAT examination for M.Pharm, self-indicative the level of high quality

teaching. Institute has witnessed 7 batches of B.Pharm students, out of first

batch student Ms. Prachi Thaker and 7th Batch Student Ms. Priyanshi Patel have

secured gold medal and overall first rank holder of university in B.Pharm

programme for the year 20 11 and 2016 respectively.

Institute is now planning for accreditation from NAAC and NBA in the

coming years. Further, institute is also planning for exclusive research center

for post graduate and Ph.D programme which will be model center of learning

for students with real industrial practice.

In this academic year, institute is planning very strong linkages with

industries of near by and many MoUs are in pipeline. With this, I invite all

aspirants to join hands with dynamic and sprouting environment of SSR

campus and make your step ahead towards future healthcare profession and

PHARMACIST OATH


M1: To setup the institute with academic excellence by imparting education through high-

quality infrastructure and technologies in pharmaceutical sciences.

M2: To train pharmacy students through student-centric teaching and learning processes to

accomplish industrial, research and social needs.

M3: To develop pharmacy professionals as responsible citizens of society with ethical

values.

PEO 1: Graduates will be having strong domain knowledge in pharmaceutical sciences and

able to use it in pharmaceutical industry, hospitals, institutes and area of profession they

choose necessary for success.

In the environment of rapidly changing technology, polarized with global competitive

intelligence, SSR College of Pharmacy was established in 2007 under the aegis of SSR

Memorial Trust, Silvassa through the scrupulous efforts of Hon'ble Chairman Shri Mohan

S. Delkar.

The institute is approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) and

Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). Recognized by Directorate of Technical Education

(DTE), Mumbai, Maharashtra and administration of Dadra and Nagar Haveli. The

institute is affiliated to the Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), Pune.

ABOUT SSR COLLEGE OF PHARMACY


Faculty team of committed qualified and well experienced teaching staff of the institute

help the students in strengthening their fundamental and applied understanding in various

subjects and giving shape to their career.

Class Rooms

Classrooms with the holding capacity of 60 and are equipped with dry erase board,

projection screens, computer systems and multimedia projectors.

Institute has overall 18 laboratories and versatile IAEC (institutional animal ethics

committee) and CPCSEA (committee or the purpose of control and supervision of

experiments on animal), New Delhi approved animal house for research purpose,

each one is designated to cater requirement of subjects of Pharmacy.


Learning Resources Utilization Centre (LRUC)

Library has an open access to more than 8000 reference books and current material. It

provides computerized electronic learning facility in the form of e-journals. Library

provides unlimited E-source as an electronic -learning facility for reference work of online

pharmaceutical journals and website of academic and pharma- industries education

purpose. Our library also provides reprography and audio-visual learning facilities for all.

The library is computerized equipped with webcam for safety and the transaction of books

is done through user friendly library software by the librarian.

Computer Center


Separate air-conditioned computer laboratories equipped with 45 latest configure computers

connected via windows server 2008 standard, Printer and LAN. More than 80 computers

are available according to norms of AICTE and PCI with 15 KV UPS at SSR College of

Pharmacy.

Sports Complex

Campus has a common sports complex that has facility with all the types of indoor

and outdoor games.

Other Facilities:

Life @ SSR Hostel Students are provided with excellent twin sharing room, separate mess facility,

medical facilities, sports facilities, wifi enabled premises for boys and girls at

campus.

Safe and homely set up within the hostel all the rooms have been designed to provide

adequate moving space and ample air and light.

All the rooms are with attached toilet and bath rooms with hot water supply.

With all needful facilities, excellent hygienic and well-furnished visiting room

In the college premises we are providing free medical first aid service to all students.

The SSR college and campus hostel are guarded with round the clock security and

safety service through security guards and CCTV cameras.

To guide the students and to monitor the day to day management of the hostels, each

hostel has dedicated warden.
