InputOne:AspiringIdentifyingwhatitmeanstoexcel…

In this first stage, you will be asked to identify andunderstand the skills and abilities you will need tosucceed in your chosen activity.

• What does it mean to excel in your activity?

• What does this mean for you personally?

• What are your own priorities?

• How do you plan on achieving these?

You’ll refine these down to three main priorities,which you’ll aim to develop for the duration ofyour time on the Edinburgh Award. You might alsostart thinking about where you could have impact,and how you plan on achieving this.

InputTwo:DevelopingEmbeddingprogressanddevelopment…

This second stage asks you to reflect on your threedevelopment priorities, to consider what you havelearned and how you have made these developmentsduring your activity.

• In what ways have you grown?

• How have you made these developments?

• Any setbacks? How have you learned from them?

• How can you build on the impact you’ve achieved?

You’ll reflect again on your three developmentpriorities and assess the learning you’ve achievedduring your activity so far.

InputThree:OwningSeeing,sellingandusingdevelopment…

The final stage asks you to capitalise on your experiences,to showcase what you have learned and present yourselfin the best light.

• What are the ways you have benefitted?

• How has the overall experience impacted on you?

• How have you positively impacted on others?

• What further skills or learning do you want to achieve?

You’ll reflect on your three development priorities,consider what gains and impacts you have made, andwhat relevance they have for your future. You’ll alsoproduce a poster to showcase your experiences.
