METHODOLOGYThe methodology outlines the criteria SRP uses to judge the activity of manufacturers, distributors and service providers in the market.

Please note that this methodology is for the EMEA Structured Products & Derivatives Awards 2020, with the results to be derived from the SRP proprietary database and the SRP EMEA Structured Products & Derivatives Awards survey, which runs from September 16 2019 until October 11 2019.

RULES• SRP will conduct a comprehensive survey of the market between September 16 2019 and October 11 2019.

• Respondents will vote for various awards under the manufacturer, service providers and others categories. SRP will verify the results independently.

Winners are also determined using the following methodology for certain categories:

• Manufacturer, distributor and private banking awards are in part based on SRP’s proprietary database and product data submissions by the contenders covering the period between September 1 2018 and August 31 2019.

• Private bank, service provider and other awards will involve a written 400-word submission. Winners will be determined by a panel of independent judges.

SRP Manufacturer Awards

AWARDS METHODOLOGY

MANUFACTURER AWARDSAll manufacturers with both 1) more than 10 striking products and 2) more than 10 maturing products, during the September 1 2018 and August 31 2019 period present in the SRP database will be in contention to win one of the manufacturer awards. The contenders with the top ratings will win the awards.

For the ‘Best House’ awards, ratings are calculated by taking each contender’s results with the following weightings:• annual sales as in SRP’s database in the year to the end of August 2019 with a 50% weighting; and• survey score with a 50% weighting. The survey score is based on the average rating across various criteria given to each contender by the survey respondents.

Submission of product dataContenders will be requested to supply all product data with full sales and performance per product for the year ending August 31, 2019.

Submission of product dataContenders will be requested to supply all product data with full sales and performance per product for the year ending August 31, 2019.

EditorialAll contenders for the Best Private Bank and Best Broker-Dealer awards will also be requested to provide a 400-word submission detailing product innovation, understanding of client needs and aftersales service, as well as relevant product data.

The winner will be selected by an independent panel of judges convened and chaired by SRP, considering sales, performance and the editorial submission.
