WELCOMEWelcome to the 3rd SRP Africa Conference in Cape Town

We are very pleased to bring to Cape Town the SRP Indexed and Structured Investments Conference, which includes senior representatives from local and international investment banks, insurance companies, retail and private banks, asset managers, hedge funds, independent financial advisers, law firms, regulators, index providers, exchanges and the wider derivatives community to meet and engage in active debate.

After training more than 180 delegates in structured products and ETFs in Johannesburg over the last two years, we will start the day with advanced workshops that will detail the core strategies of structured products as well the new payoffs and indices that are now mainstream in Europe and the US. As we also understand the importance of the offshore market and the elementary need to protect capital, we are including an expert in South African investment to explain how to the navigate the rules on taxation.

During the morning, we will showcase the SRP Global Market Overview, a data analysis of structured products in Africa, and investigate how to maximise the use of indexed solutions in portfolios.

We are also bringing to Cape Town our popular SRP Talks, a session in which we ask the main stakeholders in the industry to present their best ideas and reveal the Top 3 ideas within their presentations.

We will introduce the top providers of indices, ETFs and structured products, who will highlight and discuss the latest developments in investment and provide hints for the answer to the million dollar question: do risk premia strategies deliver returns to investors?

The conference will also provide an insight into the results of the first indepth research of the performance of structured products market in South Africa and offshore. In cooperation with the country’s leading providers and distributors of these products, SRP will present the analysis and name the most effective way to protect savings while providing investment returns.

Innovation in technology is crucial to the development of the structured products market, with trading platforms, artificial intelligence in investment decisions and other electronic efficiencies will be explained and debated in the final panel of the day.

We’re building the biggest gathering in Indexed and Structured Investment in South Africa because everyone loves structured products, even those that don’t know they do yet!

Best regards

Tiago FernandesManaging Director | SRP
