Publication Details:

• ECG signal de-noising by Functional Link Artificial Neural Network (FLANN)

Int. J. Biomedical Engineering and Technology, Vol. 7, No. 4, pp.377–389.

Noise reduction in ECG signals is one of the main problems, which appear during analysis of electrical activity of the heart. This paper proposed Functional Link Artificial Neural Network (FLANN) for the denoising of the ECG signal.

Professional Assignments in Samsung:

• BSP Domain expertise on the Qualcomm and Spreadtrum Chipsets for android phones.

Responsible for the Input and Output device drivers for Android Phones based on Qualcomm Chipsets. Hands on the Spreadtrum chipset Touchscreen interfacing. Majorly the work consisting of management and maintenance of the I2C based client device drivers for the Input subsystem and the display drivers. Worked on the kernel stability, ION memory management, system performance, proximity sensor and MDP module. Awarded Employee of the month for Qualcomm projects BSP support.

• Device Bring up for Android Phones.

Bringup the IO provided by any Touchscreen vendor with the phone, for Qualcomm and Spreadtrum chipsets. Implemented the HALL IC flip cover functionality for Spreadtrum chipset, all models.

• Support the vendor for the CPU frequency scaling implementation.

Supported Spreadtrum,China for implementation of the CPU frequency scaling requirement and implementation.

Professional Assignments in Honeywell:

• Inductive Loop Sensors System for Automated Stop bar Control

For smooth traffic flow in airports, and preventing runway incursions, the loop sensor system, detects any moving metal body (airplane or car). The principle of operation is based on the change in inductance of a sensor loop, embedded in the runway, as an airplane passes over it. A signal processor excites the sensor cyclically with particular frequencies. The voltage is detected and the change in inductance is computed from the result. The project aim was to increase the perimeter of the loop and the cable which connects the base station with the inductive loop, without sacrificing the sensitivity of the detection system.

• Tool for Searching the Model Number of VDGS

The tool aimed at selecting appropriate model number of Visual Docking Guidance Systems, according to the required features. It includes adding/ subtracting new models and features.

• Study and Analysis of Microprocessor Implementation for sensor board

This study aimed at analysis of the implementation of SPI, I2C and RS485 on the microprocessor. This subsystem is applied in Visual Docking and Guidance Systems for safe landing and docking the aircraft.

Industrial Assignments:

• Whizchip, Bangalore

Packet Capture Application

The Project objective was to capture packets which are sent or received on a network, implemented on Linux.

• Philips, Bangalore

Rendering MP3 to Philips TV

The project is based on rendering audio signals from a mobile device and obtaining the output on the TV set. It was based on JointSpace Architecture and developed in Linux using DirectFB (Open Source).

• Legend Consultancy, Noida

Website project

Website designed for Legend Consultancy, Noida using HTML and PHP. It was developed on MS FrontPage 2003.

Academic Projects:

• USB Device Driver Implementation on Linux (Camera)

The Project objective was to implement the device drivers for camera with USB interface on Linux 2.4. The USB device driver code is integrated on the Linux kernel to access the USB devices.

• Tumour Detection using Artificial Neural Network

A toolkit designed with MATLAB 2008 for filtering the image using Functional Link Artificial Neural Network (FLANN) and detecting the tumour in the image. This involves a comparative study of FLANN and advanced image processing techniques which are used in noise reduction devices.
