Square Roots Lesson 4 – Pythagoras’ theorem

Pythagoras’ theorem gives us a special relationship between the lengths of the sides of a right angle triangle. It only works for right triangles! The relationship is The two shorter sides of the triangle are called the legs, and the side opposite the right angle is the hypotenuse It’s really important that you see it is the sum of the squares of the legs equal to the square of the hypotenuse - it has to be this order
