-My principal research topic is based on: Complex systems, above all, integrated systems, connecting companies-educational institutions and students.-Nowadays Im researching about the University leavers 1st year students at the Faculty of engineering mixing schools and universities.-I think its important to focus our research at the gaps between companies-educational institutions-students because sometimes it seems that they talk a different language.

-What about students?-Do they have anything to say? Do they have places and moments to feel involved in their own education?-Do they know how to choose their profession or tools to know which their talents are?-Id like to explain an example for an educational institution, another one for a company and another one for students to show you the way were working with all of them.

We think that innovation may appear when the subject/company/educational institution have good results and mix them with creativity.We have to go on working on the collaboration between students-educational institutions-companies and we have to think about each ones goals.Which are studentsgoals?Which are educational institutionsgoals?Which are companiesgoals?We have tools that we didnt have before and they may be useful to talk about the tendencies.Make their students to know themselves.

-We designed a renovation project with a scientific model and a Balanced scorecard.-The most difficult area was: managing leadership. It required adhesion of all the agents, teachers, non-teaching-staff, the management team and the parents. We informed them about the strategy. We designed strategical lines, processes, indicatorsto measure the school.

We designed a new Baccalaureate with learning methods for gaining necessary competencies for the labour market, projects based on the student as protagonist of its own learning.-Risks: Students and parents. They didnt want to change the way they had to learn. We became them teachers for young students an they realised that the change was good. BKALOURIAT

COMPANIESBALANCED SCORECARDGOALS

INNOVATION= RESULTS + CREATIVITY

-What about companies? How can we motivate business to engage in education? What are its benefits?-We have to think again about their goals and their agents (what product do they offer?, who do they offer to? How do they offer? What type of employees do they need? If they realise about the importance of their employerscompetencies to get their goals, they will engage in education.

-How could we adapt this to diverse cultures?-I think that we have to talk the same language. Sometimes we think that innovation is changing everything and all the time.Here we have a school-boat in Bangladesh. Its an innovative school. They have managed the way that their students dont loose classes because of the floods and they have good results.

INTERPRETERS FOR THE GAPS: COMPLEX SYSTEMS

-Sohow can EU and national governments stimulate cooperation between educational institutions and business?-I think that there should be interpreters of management between them to try to connect their own goals with a general goal, to solve the gaps in their communication.-We should try to measure and measure to improve.-A goal without a plan is just a wish. -Parents en el grfico.
