Overview Stabilization of Natural Gas Liquids (NGLs) or Condensate refers to the flashing of volatile light ends from raw liquids, utilizing controlled conditions to produce a more suitable product for market. Cameron’s well site condensate stabilization units are designed to:

• Increase hydrocarbon recovery by lowering the vapor pressure of raw condensate to minimize evaporation losses when stored or transported in atmospheric vessels

• Reduce stock tank emissions

• Remove acidic constituents such as CO2 and H2S

• Produce a suitable product for transport, blending or a specific market

Cameron has designed an optional well site NGL recovery unit to separate NGL fractions to produce Y-grade NGLs or other suitable hydrocarbon liquid products.

Cameron has also developed a portfolio of NGL stabilization units for midstream gathering and processing facilities. These units are designed for larger flow volumes, specifically for capturing NGL fractions and converting them to a Y-grade NGL product.

How Does it Work?Condensate is brought into the system from the inlet separator and preheated in the stabilizer feed/bottoms exchanger before entering the top of the contactor tower. The contactor tower can be either a tray or packed column. Within the contactor, the liquid is heated by the hot vapors rising from the reboiler as it flows downward across the trays or packing. The stabilized liquid is collected in the bottom of the contactor and exits through the feed/bottoms exchanger to pipelines or storage facilities. The vapor exits the top of the contactor to either a downstream flare, vapor residue pipeline or through the optional air cooler and NGL recovery skid for discharge directly to a pressurized storage vessel.

Advantages• Standard skid mounted modular designs

• Standard designs accommodate both refluxed and non-refluxed applications

• Finished goods inventory available for immediate delivery

• Optional well site NGL recovery module

• NGL packages provide reduced emissions by incorporating high-efficiency hot oil systems

• Standard products allow for customization based on product specification

Save Time and Money By standardizing the stabilizer designs, Cameron is able to minimize front end engineering and design, resulting in faster delivery and cost savings to our customers. The standard plants are shop-fabricated modular packages. They are skid-mounted and include all piping and controls. The plants are designed to span a variety of flow rates and applications.

Equipment included in each standard stabilizer:

Stabilizer contactor

Indirect heater/reboiler/hot oil heater

Feed/bottom heat exchanger

Condensate heat exchanger

Pneumatic or digital controls

Burner management system
