SPSS Modeler installation on Windows SPSS Modeler is a data mining and text analytics software application. It is used to build predictive models and conduct other analytic tasks. It has a visual interface which allows users to leverage statistical and data mining algorithms without programming. Before starting please request a license code from http://www.gold.ac.uk/it/apps/ under SPSS Modeler, which will be sent to your Goldsmiths email account.

You will need to download both SPSS Modeler 17.1 and SPSS Modeler 17.1 Premium to get all the features installed, both are available for Windows in 32-bit and 64-bit versions (note you need to use the .

Installing SPSS Modeler 17.1

1. Once you have downloaded the SPSS Modeler 17.1 installer, right click the .zip file

2. Extract the compressed file by selecting Extract All…

3. Click Extract button to un-compress the file

4. An explorer window will appear with your extracted files, find the setup.exe file and double click to run the installer

5. Click Next

6. Select Single user license (I purchased a single copy of the product.) and click Next

7. Select I accept the terms in the license agreement and click Next

8. We recommend that you keep the destination folder. Click Next

9. Click Next

10. Click Install

11. The installation might take some time.

12. Untick the registration box and click Finish

13. Once the installation completes the licensing wizard launches, click License my product now and click Next

14. Enter the license code that you have requested from http://www.gold.ac.uk/it/apps/ page under the SPSS Modeler and has been sent to your Goldsmiths email. Click Next

15. Once authorized click Next

16. Click Finish to complete the installation

Installing SPSS Modeler 17.1 Premium

Before you start installing the Premium package you must have the base package installed by following the steps above.

1. Once you have downloaded the SPSS Modeler 17.1 Premium installer, right click the .zip
