FUNCTION
This mechanism takes apanel inwards and out of site behind surrounding
panel work before advancing the screen to sit flush with
the wall.
SUITABILITY
This technical sheet is forthe smaller version of the mechanism. It is typically
suitable for screens up to 55". See chart below for other
restrictions. Please note the panel weight restriction is
15Kg [33.1lb]on all models.
SPECIFYINGThe mechanism requires
the screen to be recessed into the wall or purpose designed cabinet work.
CONTROL
Supplied with basic infraredremote. Can be learnt by
many learning remotes.
Also has switch control andRS232 so can be operated by
relays, switches, Crestron /AMX or Lutron systems.

WARNINGIt is the responsibility ofthe installer to warn allpotential end users of
the dangers of interferingwith mechanisms during
operation
IMPORTANT
Mechanisms which liftor move weights need
to be checked on ayearly basis for anydamage which mayresult in an accident
The Panel Mechanisms andthe Panel Drive are all telescopicto efficiently accommodate differentscreen sizes.

This page and the next show•the dimensions for the SPS800V + SA. This model is made of the following three parts:
The SPS800V Panel Mechanism •allows a maximum screen height of 785mm [30.9] as the panel can lift or drop by 795mm [31.3]. Maximum panel weight is 15Kg [33.1lb].
The W1400 Panel Drive •Mechanism allows a width of screen from 880mm [34.6] to 1400mm [55.1]. (Other Panel Drive mechanisms are available)
•The Screen Advance SA bracket •can support a screen of up to 50Kg [110lbs] in weight.
MOVING PANEL ISTHE SAME SIZE AS
THE SCREEN
IMPORTANT NOTES
The front panel must be removable to make •installation possible. See the next page of this document for a suggested system.
Maximum panel weight of 15 Kg [33.1lb] must •be observed.
The 260mm [10.2] depth can be increased to •accommodate thicker screens. For example a 130mm [5.1] deep screen would require a cabinet depth of 290mm[11.4].
The 260mm [10.2] depth can be decreased to •accommodate thinner screens. For example a 60mm [2.4] deep screen would require a cabinet depth of 220mm[8.7]. This is theMINIMUM DEPTH possible. Thinner screenswould require this depth and some packingspacers.
The moving panel moves back by exactly 40mm [1.6] before lifting. For this reasonit is advised the front panelis only 20mm [0.8] thick to give 20mm[0.8] clearance.
This depth of 260mm willallow a maximum screendepth of 100mm [3.9].

The Screen Advance bracket can accommodate a screen bolt pattern up to: 680mm [26.8] wide by 400mm [15.7] high. Up to M8 diameter fixings.
The bracket sits centrally in the panel opening.
Panel Down OptionThe section to the right and the image below show the Panel Mechanism and the Panel Drive upside down. This will enable the panel to go in and then to drop instead of lifting.
The Screen Advance bracket is left the standard way up. The standard mechanism can be configured like this with no modification.

The SPS mechanism requires some •thought to the cabinet design to make sure the mechanism elements are all easily accessible for fixing in place and for making adjustments. Poorly designed cabinets will result in a lot of wasted time during installation and setting up.
Poor access can result in compromises •being made on panel alignment and effect the quality of the installation.
There are many styles of panel work that •lend themselves to this mechanism, but ultimately all surrounding front panel work should be removable to aid in fitting of the different mechanism elements. (1)
Image 2 shows the best system, where •different panels are removable to get access at different stages of the installation and set up.
In image 3 the upper panel is removed to •get access to install the Panel Drive part of this mechanism.
(4) With the upper panel in place, good •access is still possible to the Moving panel mounting plates with the side doors. These access doors enable the main moving panel to be finely adjusted.
A control box is supplied on a 3m [10'] •flying lead. This must be fitted in an easily accessible location. This will be the first item to be checked if the mechanism stops working. Infrared, contact closure and power connections are all made here.
