Harold Willig is manager of SpringView Investment Management, LLC, which he founded in 2012. Mr. Willig is also Chief Financial Officer of HFZ Capital Group, a position he has held since 2013, and Owner of Willig Advisory Services since 2000. Matteson, home to 18,692 residents, is named after a former Illinois governor who was in office at the time the village was settled during the mid-19th century. German immigrants were the first to arrive; today’s population still reflects its German, Irish and other ethnic roots. Currently, 82 percent of its residents are African American, with a small Latino population. !!The median household income in this prosperous community is $66,847, with 32.5% of workers employed in education, health care, and social services, and many in the scientific and administrative professions. The poverty rate is at 7%, with an unemployment rate of 8.9%. Nearly 93 percent of all Matteson residents have completed high school, with 30.7% completing a bachelor’s or advanced degree. More than 9% are military veterans. Matteson is also a youth-oriented community, with 41.2% of households including at least one person under age 18 –considerably higher than the Illinois average of 33.4%. !
