Pantone’s Trending Colors For Spring/Summer 2020Pantone has released colors for two different collections. A New York collection and a London collection. This guide will focus on the New York collection.

There are 12 colors and 4 neutrals. There is a nice balance of universal, warm and cool colors. Plus, a nice balance of bright vs soft colors.

The next few pages will show you the colors that you will see in stores this spring and summer and give you some ideas of how to combine the colors together in stylish ways.

Pantone’s Classic Colors For Spring/Summer 2020Pantone has also added a “Classic” collection which is a set of four neutrals. These are designed to go with any of the trending colors, as well as with each other.

Who and How To Wear Each ColorOver the next several pages, I will share with you a description of each color, whether it is a cool, warm or universal color, and who can wear it best. You will see a list of the color fans that you will find this color in. I also list other color types that can wear the color well, but you may not find the color in their color fan.

You will see a color strip that comes from the color fans. If you have your color fan, then you can easily find the color for easy shopping.

Then, you will see color combinations for each color using the colors from the Spring/Summer 2020 color palette. You’ll also see color combinations using colors from the Fall/Winter 2019-20 color palette, so that you can transition into the season using the clothes you may already have.

Keep in mind that a color may be too dark for you if you are very fair. Or it may be too light, if you need deeper richer colors. You will also want to consider the brightness or softness of the color. Even though it’s a universal hue, it may be too muted for you or too bright.
