Legend has it that Lisbon was built on seven hills, and that means no lack of points of view from which to admire the beauty of the city, with its azulerosand calçados that give the streets the colourful charm of an open-air museum. Ship docked in port.

Excursions of your cruise

Day 10 - Monday Tenerife / Landsapes andheritage of Tenerife (1/2

day, morning)

This historic tour of the island will take you to La Orotava, one of the oldest towns in the Canary Islands - founded in the early 16th century after theSpanish conquest - which retains a rich architectural heritage. You will then head for Icod de los Vinos in north-eastern Tenerife, where you can see theAncient Dragon Tree (Dracaena draco), which was declared a national monument in 1917 and is thought to be over 800 years old. Lastly, you will visit thevillage of Garachico on Tennerife's northern coast. As a port on an island at the crossroads of Europe and the New World, three hundred years ago, it wassuch a wealthy place that one of its streets was paved with marble. You can explore its ancient convents, monasteries and other historical colonialbuildings. The tour of the island will come to a pleasant end with a glass of wine and some local cheese.

Day 12 - Wednesday Casablanca (1/2 day,

morning) *

The biggest city in North Africa is famous for its stunning architectural beauty. Spacious avenues edged with elegant buildings, joyfully combining art decoand Moorish architecture, spread out from the centre, jostling with cupolas, lookout towers, colonnades, cedarwood balconies... Not far from the port, theHassan II Mosque and its dizzying 200-metre high minaret dominates the city. Plasterers, wood-carvers, Zellige tile artisans, metal-workers and craftsmenof every sort have made this building a monument for all eternity. You will enjoy a sight-seeing tour of the city, stopping off to visit Notre Dame deCasablanca cathedral, the Royal Palace area and the Central Market.

Day 14 - Friday Lisbon / Belem

Monumentale (1/2 day,morning) *

Discover the noblest part of Lisbon. In the 16th century, Portuguese sailing ships left from Belém to discover far-off lands. The panoramic coach tour stopsfor you to take pictures of the Torre de Belém and the Padrão dos Descobrimentos. Then you will visit the Cristo Rei and the Jerónimos Monasterychurch, built in 1502 on the orders of King Manuel, and an authentic Gothic-Naturalist masterpiece. You will also get the chance to try the deliciousPasteis de Belém!
