A huge thank you to parents and families that
helped clear the entrance carpark and playground on
Sunday
In Acorn Class we have been learning all about the Easter story We
have acted out the Easter Story and learnt about the different
symbols of Easter The children have been busy learning their Easter
song ready for next Wednesday in the church
Beech Class have focused on learning about the different days and
events during Easter Holy week We will be sharing our Holy Week
Kenning with you next Wednesday in church
Oak Class recited their poems brilliantly in front of a live studio
audience They spoke clearly and with confidence Well done
everybody
World Poetry Dayhellip
On Wednesday the children each recited a poem of
their choice to their classroom peers filling Oak and
Beech classes with the sound of verse rhyme limerick
rhyming and non-rhyming poems
HMFA Tag Rugby Festivalhellip The Llangrove team played exceptionally fast paced games and
convincingly won their pool with a fantastic 10 tries Playing in the
quarter finals they worked relentlessly throughout and narrowly
missed out by just 1 try in both matches Securing 4th place out of 8
teams the children really did Llangrove Academy proud BRILLIANT
Many congratulations to Felicity amp Ruby ndash the
winners of the lsquoCount the stepsrsquo competition They
go home with a sports relief goody bag The children had a
great time exploring the village and local surroundings

It was lovely to see so many parents at our rsquoOpen Bookrsquo event this week The classrooms had a
wonderful lsquobuzzrsquo about them as the children showed and explained their work with such clarity
enthusiasm and pride

We used water colour to create a
background wash Our Stonehenge
sketches were created using a range of
pencils to create texture and tone
Easter Service reminder hellip
Our Easter Service is taking place on Wednesday 28th at 945am in the church
Following the service there will be tea coffee and cakes in the school hall (any
donations of cake would be greatly appreciated)
This year we are having an Easter biscuitssmall cakes competition
Every entry will receive a little Easter treat
There will be a prize for the winners from each class ndash voting will take
place in the hall during tea amp coffee time We hope you and the
children will have fun cooking and decorating Easterspring themed baked goodies

heavier and equal The children have been
putting objects in order from lightest to
heaviest
