  • Spring Greetings Scotties~

It’s hard to believe that May is finally here! We are about to wrap up our

spring semester and finals are just around the corner! It has been a school year

full of accomplishments, challenges, the beginning of new friendships, and many

    learning opportunities.

I’m excited for those students who will be receiving their degree from HCC.

What an accomplishment for you and I wish you continued success in your future

endeavors! You have put in the time and effort it takes to receive your associate’s

degree and endless possibilities await you. Hopefully, the skills you’ve learned at

HCC will serve you well and you will continue to reach for your goals.

Those of you not graduating, I hope to see you back on campus in the sum-

mer or fall. This summer will also hold many opportunities and choices for you. As

you reflect back on your year at HCC, I hope you come back even more deter-

mined to succeed at reaching your goals and obtaining your degree with us.

To all students, I wish you an enjoyable summer and may you continue to

    learn and grow.

Ashley Perez I am from a small town with 150 in my graduating class. I’m getting my associ-ates in exercise science and an OB nursing degree. I love running and jumping. I do track and field for Highland. I have been in track for 13 years. I am from Everest, Kansas, and I am a sophomore here at HCC. My major is wildlife conservation and management. I will be transferring to Missouri Western in the fall of 2016. After that, I plan on pursuing a career in the National Parks Services as a park ranger.

  • SSS explored the old ways of medical research at the Glore Psychiatric Museum and then toured the Missouri Western State University campus.

SSS embraced their inner creativity while viewing works of art from all over the world at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. The group then finished the night with dinner and a show from New Theatre Restaurant, a dinner theater experience.
