Now For My Proposal

What Exactly Am I Doing?

For my Eagle Scout Project, I plan to erect a flagpole in front of Spring Creek Baptist Church.

This flagpole will be erected in commemoration of the founder of the church, and as a token of gratitude for supporting my Boy Scout troop for six years.

It will have a U.S. flag, a Christian-based flag, a plaque at the base for the founder, and finished off encircled with beautiful flowers.

Costs

Materials - $1200 This will include the flag pole, flags,

pulley system, wood chips, a plaque, and flowers.

Most of this money will be for the flag pole itself, as they can be expensive (up to $700).

Supplies - $200 Supplies will include concrete mix, bolts,

tables, napkins, paper plates, drinks, plastic cups, garbage bags, and concrete buckets (to mix cement).

Costs Con’t.

Tools - $0 Tools include a shovel, a hoe, a garden

rake, a rabbiting spade, a water hose, drills, and cement spatulas (to smooth down cement mix).

I didn’t put a price on tools because they can be easily obtained from my father or anyone else who will be helping with my project.

Costs Con’t.

Other - $200 This includes food for the volunteers,

taxes for the products, and any other prices that may arise throughout the project.

A combined estimated total of $1600. Note: This is just an estimate. Once I

finish the “Final Plan” phase of the Eagle Project, I will have a more detailed price for the project. Also, any EXTRA money after the project will be donated to Spring Creek Baptist Church.

Raising This Money

There are several ways I plan to raise money/supplies/tools for my Eagle project:

The Rotary Club Donations from my church Donations from places like Home Depot

and Lowe’s, who may be willing to donate tools and supplies.

So What Am I Asking from the Rotary Club?

A monetary donation that would be greatly appreciated.

Tools can be easily obtained by other means, so it would be more beneficial to be donated money for the project.

The amount, of course, will be totally to the discretion of you, the Rotary Club.
