 SATURDAY, MARCH 28 

 Our flight is five hours late leaving San Diego 

  

 Arrive Liberty International Airport, shuttle to Hampton Inn Manhattan­ Times Square South 

  

 

  

SUNDAY, MARCH 29  

Walk to Grand Central Station. Due to the 6 train line being under repair, we take taxis to worship services at Redeemer 

Presbyterian 

    

Tour the Frick Collection, art gallery in a Gilded Age Mansion 

 Walk up Fifth Avenue to visit the Guggenheim 

 Then on to explore the largest museum in the Western 

Hemisphere, The Met 

,   

Stopping briefly to view an authentic Egyptian obelisk (1450 B.C.), we walk across Central Park to Strawberry Fields and 

the Dakota Building (John Lennon sites) 

Dinner in TriBeCa @ AOA Dessert @ 

 

MONDAY, MARCH 30  

Hike 1.5 miles of The High Line 

 See a commercial being filmed on Gansevoort Street 

911 Memorial and Museum 

 Afternoon in Brooklyn: Lunch at Grimaldi's Pizzeria then walk back to Manhattan over the historic Brooklyn Bridge 

 

 

 

Dinner @ 

 Take a roundtrip ride on the Roosevelt Island Tramway 

Dessert @ 

 

 TUESDAY, MARCH 31 

 Castle Clinton­ Ferry ride to Ellis Island National Monument 

and we climb up into the crown of the Statue of Liberty 

 Lunch at historic Fraunces Tavern, built 1719 & upstairs, the Sons of the Revolution Museum (where General George 

Washington said goodbye to his troops)  

Wall Street, New York Stock Exchange, Federal Hall (where Geo Washington was inaugurated president), 

charging bull statue  

Dinner @    

We attend the new musical with Broadway star Kristin Chenoweth, On the 20th Century. After the show, we met 

Kristin and she signs our playbills 

 

 WEDNESDAY, APRIL 1 

 Explore the American Museum of Natural History, the 

largest natural history museum in the world 

 Lunch at Katz’ Jewish Delicatessen (since 1888) 

 Visit the restored apartments of the German­Jewish 

Gumpertz family of 1873, and the Italian­Catholic Baldizzi family, who lived through the Great Depression, at the Lower 

Eastside

Orchestra seats for the amazing Les Mis 

 

 THURSDAY, APRIL 2 

 Take in the open air views 70 floors on top of 30 Rockefeller 

Center, Top of the Rock 

 While in Rockefeller Center we see the Today Show taping with Matt Lauer and Ernie Hudson, from the Ghostbusters movie 

 A look around Lincoln Center and 

 

 lunch on 72nd Street, on the West Side  

A little shopping @ 

  

back in San Diego @ 8:01PM California Time
