FIT TO BE TEED DRAPEY KNITS SPRING REFRESHER SPRING BREAK! Springtime always makes me think of layering projects, since the weather can be so changeable. It’s also when I want a change from the big sweaters and big yarn that make up my winter knitting. Send in project and article proposals that will break readers out of the winter blues. Fine Lines—smallish projects made with laceweight, fingering, and sportweight yarn. Shawls, socks, lacy accessories and jewelry designs are all acceptable. Drapey Knits—unfitted, casual athleisure garments for women and men. Your mission, if you choose to accept it: achieve drape with yarns at DK weight or above. Give me drape without sacrificing speedy gratification! Spring Refresher—home décor projects that spruce up living rooms, kitchens, kids’ rooms, and more. Whimsy is welcome. Fit to Be Teed—light, season-spanning T-shirts, with interesting neckline or collar variations. Article Suggestions: How necklines affect the look and fit of garments. Balancing comfort with style: when does “oversized” become sloppy or unflattering?
