I want to thank and congratulate the members of the Central Ontario Branch for the awesome booth
they had at the Purina National on March 11-13. The well decorated display was impressive and edu-
cational. They won honorable mention in the Best Overall Booth category. Thanks to everyone who
participated especially Sarah Paquette for organizing it and the following for helping to man the booth
all weekend Kelly and Taylor
Perecki (pictured), Brad
Paquin-Keslick (pictured), and
Bette Maxwell.
Our club will be having two
Specialties this summer. The
National will be held on the
weekend of August 5-7, 2011
in Alberta, sponsored by the
Alberta Branch and we will
have a Regional Specialty on
the weekend of August 11-14
in Winnipeg, sponsored by the
Central Canada Branch.
Please get out and support the
Specialties and enjoy the fun
and camaraderie of mingling with fellow members from across the country.
Our Rescue Committee, headed by Wendy Graves, has been active and helped facilitate the rescue of
two wayward Shih Tzu puppies caught up in a dispute between two individuals. Our club also donated
$500 to the BC SPCA who helped with the rescue. It is sad to hear of such occurrences where live ani-
mals are used as pawns and subjected to such unwarranted treatment. SHAME!!!!!!
Good luck to all members at the coming shows and trials.

President, CSTC
Motion # 2011-003 by Deborah Love, Seconded by Wendy Anderson.
"That the CSTC Rescue Committee send a $500.00 voucher to the Victoria SPCA in appreciation for the care
and placement of two pups."
Background:
Recently 2 young puppies were flown from Kamloops back to their breeder on Vancouver Island. The
breeder on the island refused to pick up the puppies so the Victoria SPCA picked them up. The puppies were
inoculated, spayed and adopted out.

Sadly Missed
Wendy, Richard & Jody Paquette Wenrick Shih Tzu
Every breeder‟s dream is to produce
and own a Top Winning Dog. We have
been fortunate to have had several in
our almost 40 years of Shih Tzu breed-
ing. Not since “Chase”, “Can Am Ch
Wenrick‟s Chassen Rainbows have we
produced a dog who combines a winning
record in the show ring and stamps his
attributes on his children in a dominant
and consistent fashion. That dog is
“Woody” BIS BISS AM CAN MEX
POL LUX ITL WORLD INT CHAM-
PION Wenrick‟s Hollywood Hit who is
one of the most internationally titled
Shih Tzu in the world.
In Canada “Woody” finished his Cana-
dian and American Championships eas-
ily and went on to win multi Best In Shows and Specialty shows. He travelled to the World
show in Mexico in 1999 with daughter Jody and became a Mexican Champion and Cham-
pion of the Americas as well has winning two Group 1sts in strong International competition.
“Woody” continued to have an impressive presence on the International Shih Tzu scene the
following year. In early June 2000 he won an Award Of Merit at the prestigious American
Shih Tzu Club National Specialty in St. Louis, Missouri. Later in the month he was Best Of
Breed at the 2000 World Show in Milan, Italy with an entry of 133 Shih Tzu. We left him in
Europe for the remainder of 2000 with fellow breeder Pasquali Romanelli of Italy and he in-
deed made us proud. He was the Group Winner at the European Dog Show in Poznan, Po-
land in October with an entry of 983 dogs in the Group. He was a Best In Show and Specialty
Winner as well as # 1 Shih Tzu in Italy.
As All Breed Best In Show Winner and
Specialty winner on both continents “
Woody” continued his success in North
America by winning an additional Best In
Show in 2001. He travelled to the Ameri-
can Shih Tzu Club National Specialty in
Orlando, Florida in June of 2001 and won
another Award Of Merit.

As a producer “Woody” has sired some exciting
children including Internationally the winner of
Best Of Breed at the 2001 World Show held in
Porto, Portugal, Can Am Ch Wenrick‟s Holly-
wood Traveller.
Another one of his sons is “Billie” Am Can Braz
Pan BIS Ch Wenrick‟s Hollywood Sequel who
was a multi BIS and # 1 dog in Brazil and is now
in Sweden continuing his show career.
Most recently “Roman” BIS BISS Am Can Ch
Chantilly‟s Romance At Wenrick is a multi Best
In Show and Specialty winner currently being
shown in Thailand.
Not to be out done is “Emmy” BISS Am Can Ch
Winterholme‟s Hollywood Award bred by
Wendy Andreson (Winterholme Shih Tzu) and
Wendy Paquette. “Emmy” came to stardom by
winning Best of Winners, owner handled at the
2005 ASTC National and has continued her win-
ning ways with an Award Of Merit at the 2006
Westminster Kennel Club Show with handler Mandy Carlson.
“Woody” has been the Top Producing Stud Dog in America for 2004 and 2005 and is con-
tinued to have an impact on the breeding programs of dogs from around the World.........
Thank you to everyone for your support and especially those who have shown Woody kids
to their Championships.
A special thank you to Jenny McClintock for showing Woody in Canada.
This once in a lifetime dog lived out his life as a great house pet loved by all.
We will miss him!!!!!!
