GOIZPER, S.COOP. is a cooperative society with registered offices in Antzuloa (Gipuzkoa) in northern Spain, near the French border. Founded in 1959 and employing 170 members, its activity has developed in 2 independently managed divisions:

> The industrial division which designs, manufactures and markets power transmission components (brakes and clutches for machine tools) and index drive units.

> The spraying division which specialises in designing, manufacturing and marketing of manual sprayers for agricultural, gardening, industrial, construction, public health and vector control applications. This division accounts for over 70% of the cooperative’s annual turnover and is known worldwide thanks to MATABI, our most universal trademark.

Guided by our spirit of continuous search of new areas of activity we have recently launched business in sectors such as the design and manufacture of injection moulds (Moldelan), or in the biotechnology sector (Biofungitek).

In the spraying field our performance has been always guided by the reference axis of product-service quality, expertise and innovation and technological development. Our slogan “Guaranteed by Specialists” reflects the leadership of Goizper in all areas of the business.

Thus, in 1998 Goizper set up its own technology centre, Olaker, S.Coop., dedicated to development, research and innovation in the fields of spraying and transformation of plastics. Our flexible and highly automated production capacity and a radio controlled warehouse with a capacity of 4,000 pallets, allow us to maintain a very high level of service. We offer a wide range of models with capacities of 12 - 16 - 20 litres, in which great care has been taken regarding ergonomics, functionality, technology, aesthetics and the latest requirements for distribution (attractive packaging, 3 year warranty, availability of accessories, spare parts in blister packs etc).

Suitable for use in cultivated plots from 400 m2 up to large-scale intensive industrial use as they meet the needs of both amateurs and the most demanding professional user.

The pressure is produced by vertical movements of the pump lever which compresses air in the pressure chamber. To maintain the pressure while using the sprayer the lever must be operated every 5-15 steps, depending on the model and speed, something that is easily controlled with the pressure regulator.

MATABI never fails; they are robust and professional equipment, spa-re parts are always available. The incorporation of the pressure regula-tor has been the latest great success. Treatments are more effective, since the combination of the correct nozzle and the appropriate pressure allows

Ideal to be used outdoors, from balconies and terraces to cultivated plots and gardens of medium (200m2) and large sizes (1,500m2) and for crops that, due to its application technique or the difficulty of the terrain, require the hands to remain free and/or do not allow much weight to be carried on the operator’s back.

The useful capacity of these models is approximately two thirds of the total volume, since the remaining third must be left available for compressed air. Once pressurised, and after repeatedly operating the pressurisation handle several times (18 to 24 times depending on the model) treatment can start. Attractive packaging.

I always have several sprayers, a 1.5 litre sprayer to treat the flowers on the terrace and another two 7 litre spra-yers, one for herbicides and the other one for fungicides. CDA battery operated spinning-disc sprayers

The atomiser disc turns by electric motor action (drive-motor head) powered by batteries. It is used in the application of herbi-cides (total or non-selective herbicides such as gliphosate). The herbicide falls due to gravity onto the disc and is broken down into large spray droplets obtaining C.D.A. (Controlled Droplet Application) spraying, minimising risk of spray drift.

Herbamat characteristics• Efficient: coverage of the same surface area as using con-

ventional spraying techniques with less effort and savings in water and product consumption. Great autonomy of the bat-teries (between 40 and 70 hours).

• Ergonomic/easy to use: comfortable working position, ba-lanced weight distribution, manufactured in aluminium (lightweight), telescopic for easy transport, adjustable drive-motor head and length to adapt it to the user’s needs. • The IK 12 Vector Control spraying equipment has been specifically designed for the control of vectors (insects) carriers of diseases such as malaria, dengue fever or Chagas.

• Specially designed to facilitate the task of those persons in charge of indoor-residual spraying (IRS) of insectides and spraying of larvicides in stagnant water. For this reason, the latest international standards have been strictly followed to develop this equipment.

• The equipment is especially strong, safe, efficient, lightweight and comfortable, yet easy to use and maintain. The IK 12 Vector Control is equipped with:

- Pressure regulator ensures constant pressure.- 2 nozzles for the indoor-residual spraying of insecticides.- 1 nozzle for the application of insecticides on highly absorbent surfaces.- 1 nozzle for application of larvicides.

• The combination of constant pressure and use of a nozzle specifically designed for that application ensures an efficient spraying of the product. This is how the recommended droplet size is obtained and makes the user’s task easier by not having to constantly control the working pressure.

• A service kit with the most commonly requested spare parts is also available. Our wide distribution network guarantees the supply of any other spare part.

Using the IK 12 Vector Control for the control of mosquitoes has been an irrefutable success. We have managed to make indoor-residual spraying effective, easy and safe.

Constant pressure allows us to use less water to spray the same surface area.

The competitiveness of the equipment also allows better management of the financial resources and to widen IRS to other areas affected by malaria.

The transmission of malaria is substantially reduced in the treated areas.

Below, you will find the basic rules that should be observed for a safe and correct application of the chemical products that can be used with our sprayers.

1. MAINTENANCE TO PROLONG THE LIFE OF THE SPRAYERS.

All our manual sprayers and dusters are designed to be used with herbicides, insecticides and fungicides. In addition to this, our industrial sprayers are designed to be used with various chemical products, oil-based products, diluted acids ...

After each use depressurize the sprayer and clean it with water.

If the nozzle becomes blocked, clean it with water and do not use metallic objects.

If the filter of the handle is clogged, remove it and clean it with water.

Store the sprayer under cover, avoiding freezing temperatures and extreme heat.

To prolong the life of the seals, regularly apply a few drops of oil or grease to the moving parts.

2. EFFICIENT AND EFFECTIVE APPLICATION.

Always follow the instructions and the dosages recommended by the manufacturer on the labels of the treatment product to be used.

When using insecticides or fungicides, use the conical nozzle at a pressure of 2 to 3 bar. The results of the treatments will be much more efficient with a fine spray, to reach all parts of the crops treated, including under their leaves.

When spraying herbicides, use a herbicide nozzle at a pressure of 1 to 1.5 bar to avoid drift.

NOTE: If the same sprayer is used for herbicides, insectides and/or fungicides, it is important to wash the entire sprayer including hoses and tubes, before and after each treatment.

3. SAFETY RULES AND USES.

To avoid any contamination with the product, do no eat, drink or smoke while handling the treatment products.

Do not use the sprayer on persons, animals, or electric installations.

Do not spray with high winds or extreme heat.

In the event of poisoning, see your doctor, taking the treatment product packaging with you.

Never dispose of waste product or cleaning residues near water courses, wells, etc. intended to be used for human or animal consumption.

Use suitable protective equipment, masks, goggles, gloves, footwear ...., to avoid contact of the treatment products with skin, eyes and mouth.
