Raleigh Plant Operations (RPO) in Raleigh, NC, currently has over 150 manufacturing employees.


One 9395 universal power module (UPM) comes off the line every 45 minutes.


We use a continuous flow manufacturing process, with sub-assemblies feeding the center assembly line.


Each UPM goes through comprehensive testing on the assembly line.


The base of the integrated system bypass module (ISBM) is built and wired.


Title

First pass yield is shown in real time providing instant feedback on the day’s assembly. It also shows day, month and YTD performance.


An 825 kVA 9395 UPS takes about 12 ½ hours of assembly while a 550 kVA UPS takes about 10 hours.


Wireless mobile stations can move as needed during assembly. The instructions are also accessible to service teams in the field.

The conveyor is adjusted to prepare the ISBM for loading of the UPM.


One UPM comes off the line every two hours

The ISBM is populated with the required number of UPMs to create the final UPS.


One UPM comes off the line every two hoursRoughly two days of work for the 550 kVA and three days for the 825 kVA.

Each unit spends between five and nine hours in test, depending on kVA rating.


Units are double checked in button up before proceeding to final wrap.


• 9395 UPSs are shipped dedicated truck. This extra measure reduces risk of shipping damage in transit.

• Warranty is 12 months from date of installation or 18 months from date of shipment, whichever comes first. Extended warranty options are available.
