Types of BIDS and BID StructureLinear Bids – Price and Quantity

Linear-Stepwise Bids have for each quantity a certain price band.

BID Structure – This fundamental part of BIDDING process which is handled by EBIS. BID’s for different market have specific Min/Max Price Requirements known as AREA PRICE LIMITS, which needs to be defined in the BID, otherwise generated BIDs will get rejected. On top of those some trading companies might have their own Price Limits per Portfolio (Risk Management). Set up of price limits is configured using EBIS Summation Tree.

Downloading Market Results Downloading Market Results is a process where EDIS will import published settlement prices per Auction from ETS, send those results to EBIS and create confirmed buy /sell positions. EDIS will process these results by matching the portfolio (Generation Unit) per auction date per control area.

Downloading Market Results In EDIS there will be a designated JOB per Auction which will download the ETS published market results and will match them to the generated BIDs. Data transfer will happen via API. These designated jobs per auction could be automated to run at predefined timeslots as Market Results are published at certain time after gate closure.
