• Aims and Objectives of Provincial club development tournament :

To identify and nurture talent in Limpopo province. To put theory in to practice for administrators, technical official and coaches. To give exposure to the athletes. Promote competitiveness of athletes in sport Promote Sporting Codes in rural areas Address Social Matters ( ills) through Sport – such as Teenage Pregnancies , HIV and

AIDS Instil a sense of pride in young athletes from rural areas in the area of Sport Develop young people in 6 prioritised sporting codes so that they can form part of

the national teams in future ;

OBJECTIVES OF THE GAMES

• The Department is running a Club Development program with a conditional grant allocated by the SRSA (National Department) .

• The objective of the conditional grant is to assist the federations in developing Clubs at the lowest level of participation .

• It is through this programme that new clubs are established and supported .

OBJECTIVES OF THE GAMES

• The provincial club development tournament is a final talent identification program for athletes coming from local municipalities of the province in various sporting codes. This tournament will take place from the 1st -4th December 2015 at a venue confirmed at University of Limpopo.

• Official Opening will be at 17H30 – 18H00 at University of Limpopo with a number of 1 000 athletes wearing different district colours .

• The Opening Ceremony will be at the University of Limpopo at 18H00 .

• The Opening ceremony will have two parts . The first part will be to recognise the celebration of the World Aids Day together with the Departmental OHS. There will be a candlelight Ceremony to honour the day through Sport.

• Invitations have been sent to Mayors , Councilors in Sport and Directors in Sport .• Closing Ceremony to be fused with the Mapungubwe Carnival Walk . • Prizes to winning teams and winning clubs be given during the Mapungubwe

Carnival walk by the Honourable MEC and other honourables . • Districts to wear their different colours of t shirts to colour the carnival . • Honouring athletes during the Mapungubwe – and also giving away complementary

tickets .

OPENING AND CLOSING CEREMONY

• Full , vigorous and vibrant marketing of the Provincial Club Development Championships

• Co – branding with the Department • Leverage on marketing and Publicity Promotional Items give – away to promote

your organization• Celebrate the AIDS and HIV Day through sport activities in partnership • Full awareness of the games in the Province • Information to all districts and municipalities about the games on a daily basis

until the 04rth of December.• Strengthening of partnership in sport and communication • Celebrate sport talent in youth through vigorous communication
