  • Virtual Careers Days 2020

The Geological Society will be hosting a pioneering four-day online careers

event from the 20th to 23rd October 2020. The Society’s careers events are

the most recognised geological careers-based forums in the country.

Designed to engage geoscience undergraduates and postgraduates with

the latest career developments and opportunities, this pioneering, free

virtual event will feature a four-day series of online talks and workshops,

delivered by highly-respected professionals from industry and academia.

Delegates will have the opportunity to access interactive CV and careers

workshops, as well as a range of downloadable careers resources.

In 2019 the Society held in-person Careers Day events in London,

Nottingham and Edinburgh, attended by 800 young people. Our exciting

new online format will be easily accessible for all interested students and

we anticipate attracting a significant new and global audience.

There is a real and pressing need to engage more young people with

careers in geoscience-related industry. This event will be an important step

in achieving this engagement. We welcome the opportunity to partner with

industry and academic organisations to showcase the unique benefits of a

career in geoscience related areas. Your support is essential in helping to

    future-proof our workforce.
