Hi, my name is Brad Lloyd and I have been involved with Kawana Football Club since 1984 as a player,

Coach, committee member and President, I’m now celebrating my 33rd season at the club.

Kawana Football Club is one of the Sunshine Coast’s fastest growing and favorite sports clubs, increasing its

player and membership numbers by approximately 10% every year. We have a great history and reputation for

playing fair, winning premierships and having great supporters.

Our club is located centrally in the region and one of the fastest growing areas at the heart of Oceanside

Kawana health precinct, Kawana Island, Lake Kawana, Kawana Central business district and the fast

developing Bright water community which we are heavily involved with at the school. Our club and home

ground on Mileau Place, just off Premier Circuit is part of the Kawana sports precinct and was opened in 2006.

Our club won the Sunshine Coast club of the year in 2005, 2006, 2008, 2009 and 2012 and has the potential

to become the foremost football club on the Coast.

Kawana Football Club offers great potential for your business’ exposure by association with our high profile

teams. Our premier men’s side has finished highly in the competition since the late 90’s and last year our

premier men side took out the championship for our 6th time with our club second all time in premiership wins,

with 8. This has been further reflected by great performances in our senior and junior teams. In 2015 we had

9 of our 16 teams play finals football and 6 of those teams play on grand final day claiming 3 wins. Media

interest is strong with our club due to our ever growing success in all age groups. We also focus closely on

nurturing our juniors, ranging from under 6’s up to under 17’s and this has been evident with the clubs success

over the past 5 years. We’d like to offer your business our support and the opportunity to promote your interests to the thousands of

people who visit our club each week throughout the year and the many more who follow our club’s progress.

Our newly constructed website is also widely received by the coast Football community as a whole and is

consuming around 500 000 hits per season which is about 50 000 per month during the

CompetitionsThe 1992 Kawana side was coached by Ken Mclean, and after a successful season finished the league in third spot behind the dominant teams in the early 90’s of Buderim and Beegees.

It took till 1997 for Kawana to make their next Grand final. Between 1997 and 2006 Kawana went onto win five Premierships, six league titles, three cups and three charity shields. Since 2006 Kawana has won 2 more league titles in 2012 and 2014, won the cup in 2014 also runners up in the cup 2012 and 2013. The club was also grandfinal runners up in 2012 and 2014 and after a nine year wait won the premier league grandfinal in 2015 the first to be held at the Sunshine Coast Stadium.

Membership Our membership numbers currently sit at 260 (plus 360 player members). In 2016 we aim to increase that number to 500 members and then to 1000 by 2020. We believe this is a realistic goal especially with the way the Kawana area is developing and quickly growing into vibrant and busy CBD area.

PlayersWe have 360 players at Kawana and we have been growing at about 10% over the last 5 years. Our players range in age from 5 to 55 with both boys and girls teams as well as men and women’s in all division up to our premier league men and women. We, over the last 2 seasons, have seen our biggest growth and we are predicting our biggest increase in players ever in 2016 on the back of a stellar 2015which saw 9 of our 16 competitive sides play finals and 6 of those teams played in grand finals with 3 teams winning and becoming champions.

Fields & ClubWe are situated in the Kawana sports precinct, western fields, which is part of the sunshine coast stadium. We have been here since 2006 and this is our 4th home in our clubs history. We share this venue with Kawana touch football association and the sunshine coast fire.

Our venue attracts a broad range of sports people and spectators seven days a week. We have 3 full size football fields which are fully lit with match standard lighting and a smaller field to cater for our younger players. Our fields are fully maintained by the council and are always in good condition.

Social & FundraisingOver the past 5 years Kawana FC have run and organized the united for Daniel event, which was held at the stadium and involved a fun filled day of activities and football, with a coast celebrities game culminating in the main event premier league men’s match between Kawana FC and Woombye. We have also held 3 Heart kids awareness days, which saw our premier mens players wearing special jerseys with the name of a heart angel embroided on the front of the shirt. Kawana football also is involved in breast cancer days, ovarian cancer golf events and many more community events.

Kawana Soccer Club was established in 1979 with members from the disbanded Henzell Park Rangers club. Les Hankin took on the job of President while his wife Sue became Secretary/Treasurer. They obtained the services of long-time soccer leader Fin McColm, to act as Councillor. Kawana Estates Pty Ltd provided valuable financial support in the first year and continued to back the club in the ensuing years. In 1991 Kawana soccer moved to the new Kawana Sport Complex. The club moved again, to the western fields in 2006, which is where they still are today.

The Kawana Football Club has approximately 22 game weekends per year with attendances between 200 to 2,000 on carnival days. We hold the Morey Tonen Carnival which brings in players and families of every U7 team on the Sunshine Coast. This attracts a whole new group of prospective customers to your business.The grounds are also utilized by Sunshine Coast Fire and Touch Football, this allowing your brand to be seen considerably more throughout the course of the season.

Kawana Email Newsletter

New to the 2016 Season, this email newsletter will be sent out monthly and consist of club updates, generally football around the coast updates, event updates, photos from the past months and sponsor information.

This will have links back to the website, and consist of a monthly prize for find the star. This is another way that you brand will be placed strategically in front of all our members.

Kawana APP

New to the 2016 Season, this app will be found on the phone of every member who wants to have very quick access and receive instant messages from the club.

This is a very useful app that will allow members to get instant information on field closures etc. This app will also include all club information from fixtures, scores, fields & directions, field closures, events, and every sponsor will be within the sponsorship tab.

Platinum and Gold Sponsors will have a rotating banner at the top of the APP and it will provide more opportunities to get your brand out there during the season.
