A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT
Some history
The Devon Meadows Football Club has existed since 1979 and provides the opportunity for many young men
in our local area and surrounds to play Australian Rules Football. We exist as part of the Mornington Peninsula
Nepean Football League (MPNFL), and in 2004 we formed a part of the Casey Cardinia Competition. In 2012,
the club successfully applied to the league to be moved into the Nepean Division of the MPNFL giving the club
great exposure all along the Mornington Peninsula.
Season 2012 saw the re-opening of the new and improved Glover Reserve. The ground redevelopment is
something the club had been petitioning the council to deliver for 20 years. The commitment of $550,000.00 to
overhaul the surface has made the ground surface first-class and as good as any in the region. When
combined with our already superb social rooms, we now boast facilities that I’m sure are the envy of every
club. With these great facilities already in place, it puts the DMFNC in a great position to set ourselves up and
secure our club’s position in this very strong MPNFL.
Our Plan for Season 2016
Season 2016 brings a sense of expectation after a successful year in 2015. Under the guidance of our new
senior coach, Glenn Michie, the playing group have responded extremely well, the end result being a ‘break-
even’ year with 8 wins from 16 rounds for our Senior team. Based on these results, we believe nothing less
than a finals appearance this season will be acceptable.
Our magnificent Reserves side, coached brilliantly by Mick Hawking, brought us our first club premiership in
our 30-plus year history, which was a credit not only to the players and coach, but to all involved in supporting
the club.
The outlook for this year is very upbeat and with a tireless, reliable committee on board to help, we feel that
we are heading in the right direction.
How you can help
A Devon Meadows sponsor plays a very important role in the successful functioning of the DMFC. Without them
the club would not exist or operate at the level it currently does.
Raffles, memberships, gate takings, canteen sales and social functions provide the club with good income, but
they alone are not enough for the club to run independent of any sponsorship assistance.
What we can offer
We have developed Sponsorship Package’s to suit different needs and are mindful of the fact that your hard
earned dollar has to receive maximum value.
With our new placement in the Nepean Division of the MPNFL we can offer your company or business
exposure to a wide range of local people both locally and right down the peninsula.
As well as Under 19, reserves and senior sides, our ground and clubrooms are also used by netball teams,
cricket teams, and a large number of junior teams and families throughout the winter, as well as over 50,000
people visiting the club throughout the season.
It is for this reason that we believe being a DMFC Sponsor can only increase your business profile and help
you to network & communicate with a larger audience. We are very keen to have you involved with us in 2016
