Thank you for your interest in the 20th Annual Downs Byrd Memorial Oyster Roast! This event is our largest fundraiser of the year and we are hoping this year is our best yet.

Proceeds from the event benefit the hundreds of animals that Dorchester Paws cares for on a daily basis. Every dollar makes a difference so we are able to continue our transformative, life-saving mission to instill humane principles into society through the prevention of cruelty to animals and end unnecessary euthanasia in Dorchester County.

With over 750 influential business professionals, community leaders and philanthropic donors who believe that every animal deserves a second chance and a forever home, this event is a well-known staple in the community and we hope you will be a part of it.Being that this is our 20th anniversary, we plan on making this event BIGGER then ever and have even moved loactions to help accomdate our ever growing guest list!

Sponsorship opportunities start at $250 and go up to the presenting level of $10,000, with many benefits at each level. Benefits range from a speaking opportunity at the Oyster Roast, to tickets, website and media exposure, and more. WHERE DO THE FUNDS RAISED Dorchester Paws relies on tax-deductible, public donations to fund our operating costs. We are here to help the Lowcountry by providing a variety of programs to support our ever-growing animal welfare loving community. These programs include: Adoption & Foster Care, Owner Surrender & Municipal Shelter Transfer, Lost/Found Pet Support and Pet Food Bank. Funds raised by Dorchester Paws go directly towards providing the daily care for over 300 animals and all the programs and community support we offer in the Lowcountry.

BECAUSE OF YOUOver 3,200 lost, abandoned, sick, abused and neglected animals come through our doors each year. Upon intake, it costs at least $100 per animal to prepare them for adoption. It is an additional $25 per day per animal to provide proper care. Your sponsorship fuels our commitment to taking care of each and every animal in our shelter so that they all can go on the journey from victim to victory.

Thanks to your donation, Dorchester Paws we found homes for over 1,700 animals.

FOSTER HEROES

Thanks to your donation, Dorchester Paws could provide supplies for over 1,000 animals in foster homes.

MEDICAL CARE

Thanks to your donation, Dorchester Paws covered the medical care of over 2,000 animals, including spay/neuter surgeries and outside veterinary care.
