The Flathead Avalanche Center (FAC) and Friends of the Flathead Avalanche Center (FOFAC) promote safety through avalanche information, advisories and education outreach to the community in and around northwestern Montana.
FAC and FOFAC organize and host the Northern Rockies Snow and Avalanche Workshop (NRSAW) which is a pre-season, one day gathering of avalanche professionals and winter backcountry recreationists. This workshop is dedicated to improving avalanche related decision making/skills for winter backcountry professionals and enthusiasts.
NORTHERN ROCKIES SNOW AND AVALANCHE WORKSHOP
The NRSAW is the first educational event and the unofficial kickoff to the season provid-ing a day filled with valuable information and a time to reconnect before the winter begins. Your financial support for FOFAC and the workshop will help FOFAC fulfill its mission statement: to financially support the Flathead Avalanche Center and save lives through avalanche education.
