What is Touch-A-Truck?

The Central Alberta Crime Prevention Centre is excited to bring Touch-A-Truck to Central Alberta! Touch-A-Truck is a

family-friendly event that gives kids of all ages the chance to see some of their favourite trucks, tractors, and vehicles

up close, and a chance to interact with RCMP, EMS, Firefighters and more! Our 5th ANNIVERSARY event will be held

during Crime Prevention Month, on Saturday, May 9, 2020 from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM in the Crossroads Church Park-

ing Lot!

PURPOSE: The purpose of Touch-A-Truck is to raise awareness of crime prevention and funds for the Central Alberta

Crime Prevention Centre.

Who is the Central Alberta Crime Prevention Centre?

The Central Alberta Crime Prevention Centre (CACPC) is a registered charitable organization who engages, educates, and empowers residents to promote and sustain community safety. Since 2012, the CACPC has operated as a one-stop location focused on the reduction and prevention of crime in Central Alberta and provides a centralized location for crime prevention programs. We have 5 partner organizations operating from our office: Alberta Provincial Rural Crime Watch, Red Deer City Citizens on Patrol, Central Alberta Crime Stoppers, MADD - Red Deer Chapter, and the Red Deer Neighbourhood Watch Association.

the Centre and our booths at community events/fairs • Graffiti removal and graffiti removal products for building owners to

purchase • Crime prevention presentations for seniors facilities and community

associations • CPTED (Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design) training &

property reviews • Community engagement programs such as the SAFE Summer

Program and Random Acts of Kindness • Community events such as Touch-A-Truck and Charity Check Stop to raise crime prevention awareness

DATE: Saturday, May 9, 2020

TIME: 10:00 AM—4:00 PM (NOTE: A sensory-friendly hour will be held from 10:00 AM—11:00 AM. No horns, sirens,

etc.)

LOCATION: CrossRoads Church Parking Lot, 38105 Range Road 275, Red Deer, AB, T4S 2N4

SET-UP & TEAR-DOWN: 7:00 AM. All exhibitors must be onsite by 9:30 AM. For pedestrian safety, all exhibitors must

remain onsite until the event ends at 4:00 PM.

NOTES:

• A minimum of one person per vehicle must be present during the event.

• This event will happen rain or shine!

• We encourage all exhibitors to bring interactive activities and/or giveaways for the kids.

• Food trucks will be at the event.

• Space is allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis. We reserve the right to limit the number of vehicles of the

same or similar type.

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS: All Sponsorship Agreements are subject to the Central Alberta Crime Prevention Centre’s (herein referred to as

CACPC) approval and acceptance. Acceptance of the Sponsorship Agreement shall constitute an agreement to provide promotion as described in the Spon-

sorship package. The undersigned, by signing the Sponsorship Agreement, acknowledges that he/she has read and understood all of the terms contained and

that this Agreement is subject to all such terms which are expressly made a part of this Agreement.

Cancellations or changes in the Sponsorship Agreement are accepted only in writing to CACPC, and must be received on or before the Sponsorship Closing

Date. The Closing date for 2020 shall be March 31, 2020 at 5:00 PM MST.

THE SPONSOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PROVIDING ARTWORK TO CACPC. Sponsors are responsible for the submission of the logo materials by material dead-

lines. Payment is due and payable within 30 days of receipt of invoice. The sponsor agrees to indemnify and hold harmless CACPC , or with whom CACPC may

have contracted, for any and all loss, expense or other liability (including attorney’s fees) arising from any claim of libel, violation of privacy, plagiarism, copy-

right any advertising materials or copy submitted, infringement, omission, incorrect information or placement and any other claim or suit that may arise out

of the promotion of the event.
