Tenth National Pinchos and Tapas Competition - City of Valladolid

The Tenth National Pinchos and Tapas Competition will take place from 3rd to 5th November at the Millennium Dome in the centre of the city of Valladolid. 45 cooks selected from more than 500 applications submitted to the contest organisation from all Spanish autonomous regions will compete for a €6,000 prize for the winning composition.

Valladolid will turn into the capital of the tapas world thanks to the National Pinchos and Tapas Competition marking its tenth's anniversary. This is a MEETING POINT for the sector, a unique opportunity for NETWORKING and showcasing your company.

Sixth International Cooking School Contest

Due to the international success attracted by this event, for the last five years Valladolid has simultaneously held along with the National Pinchos and Tapas Competition, a competition for worldwide cooking schools.

This event, managed by the Fernando Perez International Cooking School in cooperation with ICEX, will be attended by 12 participants from 11 countries, selected from 85 applications from 29 countries.

The 11 countries: Argentina, Canada, India, Ireland, Japan, Poland, South Africa, Singapore, Slovenia, Switzerland and the USA.

International Tapas Festival

All the visitors to our event will have the opportunity to taste excellent culinary delicacies presented in this competition, aided by a culinary-map of the city specifically issued for this event. From 30th October to 9th November, almost fifty food establishments and restaurants in Valladolid will offer competing pinchos and tapas to the public. All of them will be twinned with the participating restaurants and bars who arrive from all Spanish autonomous communities. On the third and final day of the National Pinchos and Tapas Competition 2014 the event closure will be chaired by the City Mayor and other authorities.

Once the winners of each category are revealed and prizes are awarded, a clos-ing cocktail party will be held where the competition sponsors can offer attend-ees a sample of their prod-ucts. This is an outstanding space to distinguish your-self and demonstrate your know-how.

In the opening ceremony and in front of the media, public, participants and the jury, the role of sponsors is expressly highlighted and welcomed by the authorities. Sponsors are mentioned and sponsors' logos can be seen at the photocalls.

The ceremony will be at-tended by the City Mayor, the Councillor for Culture, Commerce and Tourism and the president of the Provin-cial Association of the Hotel and Catering sector.

Media attending the event will be informed of partici-pation details, news present-ed in the tenth anniversary and the names of sponsors who made the competition possible.

From 30th October to 9th November, almost fifty food establishments and restau-rants in Valladolid offer com-peting pinchos and tapas to the public. All of them will be twinned with the participat-ing restaurants and bars who arrive from all Spanish auton-omous communities.
