Pain in ya GrassWarning fun police will ruin SplendourCaylaDengate

Woodfords Splendour in the Grass will be ruined by the fun police if themusic festival is moved back to NewSouth Wales.

Thats the claim from Moreton BayR e g i o n a l C o u n c i l m a y o r A l l a nSutherland, who is launching anonline petition today to keep themusic festival in Woodford, about85km northwest of Brisbane.

Festival organisers confirmed they

had been negotiating to have theannual festival moved to land theyowned in Byron Bay. But the localcouncil has demanding restrictions onthe size of events to be held each year.

Sutherland warned that the pro-posed restrictions would stifle theparty-loving atmosphere of the festival.

was the artists choice.Belongil Fields is OK, but theres no

site as good as Woodford, he said. One of the best things about

Woodford is the conversations andcamaraderie that happen backstage.

Its not like any other festival and,for a musician, it makes it all worth it.
