over the treatment program and -ndings and approves recommendations. The intern then

meets with the patient again for the Report of Findings Visit. After the Report of Findings

Visit, the intern may continue Follow-Up Visits with the patient on a weekly, bi-monthly, or

monthly basis with supervisor meetings after every odd-numbered Follow-Up Visit (after

private practice upon approval for graduation.

5. Any package visits remaining must be ful-lled by the intern, and the intern may choose

Statement of Non-TransferenceSpirit Path Ayurveda Education cannot guarantee that it's credits or programs are transferable, and

the transfer of credits is always at the discretion of the receiving institution, depending on the

comparability of curricula and accreditation.

Denition of 'Patient Encounter' From the National Ayurvedic Medical Association's Scope of Practice for the Ayurvedic

Profession A patient encounter is defined as the following, a substantial amount of which should involve direct

hands-on contact:

a) Experience history and/or outcomes of patients in order to build an internal database of clinical

knowledge and experience. This internal database can be built by a variety of experiences whether it is

observation, internship, externship, small group work or apprenticeship (working under and alongside the

practitioner in a graduated responsibility model.)

b)Carry out procedures such as history taking, prakruti assessment, vikruti assessment, pulse, tongue, and nail

diagnosis in order to gain clinical skill and fluency.

This cannot be accomplished by passive observation but can be attained in a variety of settings including

intern, small group work, or apprenticeship (working under and alongside the practitioner in a graduated

responsibility model). Cannot responsibly be accomplished solely in externship as onsite direct supervision is

required to ensure correctness of findings.

c) Create treatment plans and experience outcomes through follow up in order to develop clinical proficiency.

Accomplished in intern or supervised extern setting.
